said since-fired Browns executive Sashi Brown......
You can't blame BB for god awful owners and GMs, who are clueless and/or don't want to maybe trade with him in fear of being embarrassed. I think that's a big part of this, because these teams were not involved in trying to acquire JimmyG:
1. Chicago
2. Arizona
3. Washinton
Dark Horse: New Orleans
No. The Browns are in the conference and doing deals with them was the equivalent of a colonoscopy only the doctor is Marc BertrandIdk if that's true or not but wow. How do you not make that deal? Has to be some grudge with the browns for BB
...and doing business with AZ was like ordering a coffee and egg sandwich at Dunkin Donuts.New Orleans would have been in the same boat as the Pats, though, so them not offering isn't a surprise at all. Chicago has Trubisky, and I think WAS still has hopes of getting Cousins to sign long-term, so I can understand those two.
But Arizona really had no excuse (especially since the Chandler Jones trade didn't work out too badly for them).
3. That franchise is a mess so BB was doing Jimmy a favor by moving him to a better organization.

Bill traded him to a place where he could flourish. He liked Jimmy G. I think that’s what happened here.
I can sleep now knowing Cleveland has been neuteredFor all you garropolites this rumor would prove your true loyalty. Those who think JG is the next superstar would want him in another conference so we won’t have to face this Super Bowl contending qB every year. That’s unless you love him so much that you would risk us losing playoff games to your phenom.
