Jerry Jones to Goodell: Kraft is a P$$$Y Compared to what I will do to you

jerry doesnt understand the power dynamics of an oligarchy

he has to have a bunch of other owners and/or corporate sponsors on-board to win

takes more than papa john.......hypocrisy and lack of self awareness make him look like a fool

What a surprise Jerry Jones takes on the other owners and Goodell and now you have the leaking of a 2013 video with Jerry Jones making racist comments.

If you're gonna go nuclear better make sure you don't have anymore skeltons buried.

this would be the view without bob kraft:

Looking forward to Goodell banning Elliott for the season for the gropping and undressing of a women baring her breasts which is caught on camera once he comes back of his current ban. (Current ban not for above).
As much as I hate Goodell, I hate Jerry Jones just as much as he was a major reason/player why we got the million and lost draft picks imo, I hope this ends with both having a rocket up there arse.

Lol what a way to start the fight. Reminds me of..

Robert Kraft is a p**** . Hi I'm Jerry Jones. :D:D:D

Unfortunately, I think his choice of words will backfire. If anything comes out of it, the other owners are likely going to solidify their support of Goodell after reading something like this.
You mean the petty owners who backed deflategate? LMAO!

This is quite entertaining. Thank God we won the superbowl in the most sublime fashion. We knew this all along, Goodell is great as long as he's not screwing your team.

How did Kraft come after Goodell hard? His butthole was wide open from the get-go. Jones is a businessman that clearly doesn’t like to lose. I have my popcorn ready.

It's a misquote, Jerry meant Kraft had an orgasm after Goodell ****ed him hard.

Just reading between the lines. He's frustrated dealing with the owners. Looks like I can't copy/paste from this article, but there is a section where it mentions how it's been assumed that Goodell wants a long term extension, but he's furious over being asked to take a pay cut and all the scrutiny he's been under, and he would be willing to walk away. Another section says that he told other owners that he's here for them through the union negotiations but after that the owners should start having a conversation.
Ok.

I dunna know. I think Goody is stressed out and frustrated but I think he believes he is the chosen one for this job.

the skills to do the job: look smarmy on camera, talk out of your ass, do what the owners want, take the brunt of the hate with a smile, don't rock the boat unless told to, take your paycheck and don't kill any hookers, do what's best for the League, er, the owners

Goodell has done this fairly well......and he has obviously represented the 32 fairly well
I know what you're saying, but I don't consider those "skills" OR doing the job -- at least, as far as the job that should be done in that position. The league could be so much better with a commissioner that cares about more than keeping up appearances, kissing the owners' butts and making money.

We are dealing with multiple preferences for the job description. If it is measured by revenue and profit, and the rest is just details, that's one thing. If it is about effective administration, fairness with player and coach behavior, protection of the players' health, etc...then that's something else. We continually rant about the latter, in the face of lot's of evidence about the former.

The ratings problem is the current crisis, because it feeds the revenue line. The next CBA is the crisis on the horizon, as pointed out by DI. If he doesn't fix the first problem, he may not be around for the second.

I think the other owners will find a way to bring Jones into line.

Everyone knows that Goodell needs to get fired rather than getting an extension, just as they know that Goodell is just one of the problems with the league. But, because of schoolgirl politics and overwhelming greed, they'll pay Goodell the money and keep him around. Then, when the league's ratings/approval numbers continue to tank (and probably not until after the next CBA asskicking of the NFLPA), Goodell will get his buyout and the owners will try blaming every single thing on Rodger as they walk him out the door.

I know what you're saying, but I don't consider those "skills" OR doing the job -- at least, as far as the job that should be done in that position. The league could be so much better with a commissioner that cares about more than keeping up appearances, kissing the owners' butts and making money.

I think the fact Jerry Jones said those words about Kraft speaks volumes about the level of regard he and other owners had for Bob during deflategate.
Watching Jerry speak out openly makes me even more upset for the soft approach by the Patriots and Bob Kraft "in context."
Maybe because he is our owner, we overestimate him.
Bob Kraft happens to own this team.
BB and TB12 are the Patriot Way.

I have a very hard time believing that report though. Jerry wants a business visionary who can be his personal lackey. When has Polian shown any business sense? Certainly he has NFL knowledge, but is he really going to be the guy negotiating with the networks for their next TV contract? The guy pushing the game to larger markets and pushing for more taxpayer funded stadiums?
And, what, exactly, were Goodell's qualifications, other than being a toady on Park Avenue for years? In fact, one could reasonably argue that Polian is more qualified.
