since you live in Florida, just curious as to what team is the most popular out there?

I'm in Jacksonville, so it's the Jags. But for the majority of Florida, it's probably the Lolphins.

A lot has changed in a few years. My sisters down in Jacksonville and it wasn’t too long ago the jags PR would call out of the blue begging for her to buy season tickets.

This is always a dumb talking point because it implies that there was some drop off the season after the Pats lost the SB. In 2008 Brady is lost for the season in the first quarter and the team still manages to go 11-5. If Brady was healthy with that roster we win the SB that year since the league was putrid. In 2012 we made it to the AFCCG without Gronk and Talib getting a boo boo at the start of the game and had a halftime lead and momentum until Welker dropped an easy first down and Ridley got knocked unconscious and fumbled. If Gronk and Talib are healthy we win that game.

So I don’t expect a drop off this year just because we lost the SB.

Fixed.

It's pretty much unanimous that Dorsett had a good day today.

I honestly think Dorsett has a shot. When given a chance last year he looked more elusive and only slightly slower than Cooks. With the ball in their hands or in the middle of field it is not even a contest between him and Cooks. Obviously that additional gear Cooks has is the elite money maker and a weapon by itself. But Dorsett could be 80% of Cooks for 20% of the price.

This map is based upon twitter accounts that identify the account user as a fan of one of the teams. Seems accurate based upon my experience down here.

Florida is a melting pot of football allegiances
Within the 67 counties in Florida, there are 12 different “most popular” teams. based upon number of counties: the Dolphins, Bucs, Jags, then a few with Saints, Cowboys, Packers, Bears, Falcons, Patriots, Seahawks, Chiefs (really, Sumter County?) and Broncos fans.
Twitter map shows the most popular NFL teams in each county of the United States

Well history is not on this team’s side after a super bowl loss. I expect the offense to be ok. Defense’s my main concern and what the secondary can do after Gilmore.

If you want to be concerned about anything then lets start at what broke the defense its neck last year. The run defense and hoping that Shelton can give us what Branch did in 2015 and 2016. That is the key to almost everything. The secondary is pretty talented and will be fine if LBs & co. dont have to deal consistently with opponents leaking into the second level.

Holy slow!

I did TC one year..worst experience..you get there 2 hours early and you can't even get a seat. It's mostly for the kids/people who can't attend games so I will never go again...**** show
It's fun to go once and just do what my roommate and I used to call "the UMass Shuffle.*" Worm your way and your big (in my case) butt into that tiny space some fool left in the 2nd row. Tada! 2nd row seat to Brady throwing bombs in 7 on 7 drills for an hour (done by my daughter and me last summer).

*The UMass Shuffle is defined as getting in (as into a club) or getting on (such as a bus) no matter how big the crowd is in front of you (because there were always big crowds at everything at UMass, but d%#*!@t, we were not going to be denied!).

If day 1 is any indicator id say he not only makes the team he also has his most productive season to date.

What’s the consensus on the Jags chances of going to the Super Bowl this year?

Depends on who you talk to around here. The Jags homers think they're going all the way and others think they'll come out too ****y and take a step back. They have a tough schedule to start the year.

here's a similar map using facebook data:

fun fact: not one single county in the USA supports the Jets the most!
