Coming from Stanford he is probably fairly intelligent, and now he is here getting excellent coaching on a very good team he may thrive.. no matter however he is used for the rest of the year it will be comforting to know that he can come off the bench and get the job done..

Maineman- that 40 time for Butler is wrong. He actually runs in the 4.4's, basically as fast as Gilmore. The Pats timed him repeatedly in the 4.4's. That's also more in line with what we see on the field.
Don't try to perpetuate a false narrative.
Malcolm is one of the faster cbs in the NFL. As is Gilmore.

Lombardi just said this morning that Bill and co tried to trade for Bademosi years ago and the Browns wouldn't give him up and then he tried to get him before he signed with Detroit. Lombardi always thought he was better than just a 5th corner/STer.

Someone pointed this out on twitter or here that you can see his STs roots in his tackling. This guy has to be a BB dream as a player.

"Bad Ass" could have a future at Safety. He can run, tackle & cover. He could match-up man to man on a third receiver when need.

With the starting safeties over 30, this could fill a major position of need.

The elephant in the room now is how the team plans to work both Gilmore and Rowe back in. Bademosi, IMO, has earned a role in that secondary. His coverage has been good and he flies to the football. His football IQ also seems to be off the charts.

Well still best to turn that head around, refs like to call that whether he's touching or not. His tackling was quite impressive, that's what you get when you put special teamers out there.

Personally I think he could be used closer to Logan Ryan than Chung. He seems as physical and intelligent as Ryan. I am not convinced yet that he has enough acceleration and short area quickness to be as effective on slot blitzes ect. but that is because we have no tape on that.

It is NOT "wrong".

All those numbers are what these players measured - publicly - at their combine or and/or pro day. Everyone can verify their publication in a variety of sources.

For the sake of consistent baseline comparisons, I always use those in preference to anecdotes about times and measurements that were only privately witnessed and haphazardly reported ("The Pats timed him repeatedly in the 4.4's.").

It is also NOT a "false narrative", and I resent the accusation.

We all understand that players often "play faster" or "player slower" than their public measurements in artificial testing. Football IQ, awareness, skills (or lack thereof) can enable a player to succeed beyond his baseline measurements, enhancing his "effective athleticism". Time is also a factor, since a relatively young player certainly has the opportunity to improve his athleticism in pro-level training regimes, but also, older players obviously begin to lose some of the physical abilities that support their effective athleticism.
