So I guess he is a corner too.

Here a nice article on why NE was the perfect place for him to show he's not just a ST ace (despite being brought as ST emergency):
Johnson Bademosi strives for perfect transition to key cornerstone for Patriots

quote:

“The concepts that make the New England approach so unique and the attention to detail in all three phases of their preparation and how coach (Bill) Belichick conducts the entire organization lends itself very effectively to Johnson getting what he needs, which is clarity to answer all those questions. He’s going to demand the answers, and he won’t stop until he gets what he wants.”

BTW he was a leading tackler on the team today.

Hopefully he doesn't play any more D this year . so they can afford the extension..;)

I thought he was solid, didn’t look at out of position and makes tough tackles. Excited to watch the all-22 to further see how he played

Who is Bademosi???

You mean Badassmosi :cool::D

He's been solid and nowhere near the liability some of us feared he'd be.

Between him and Jonathan Jones, our cornerback depth has been surprisingly good!

Really like Jones, think he will make a solid career here. Haven't seen any highlights yet so will be looking for them later. Glad to see Mosi had another good game to

Patriots defense looked great with him and Butler.
Bademosi was already an elite special teams ace.
Kid went to Stanford, was never out of place tonight, figured it out despite not being on the team during training camp (meanwhile Gilmore is still clueless).
I really like this Butler/Bademosi combo at CB

If you look at it objectively, his name sort of resembles "Bad Weiner".

Agreed. Bademosi's too good to not include on defense. Dude is heluvah tackler.

But where do you move Gilmore and Rowe?

It will sort itself out and there is no reason to assume that Bademosi has jumped anyone on the depth chart for now.

The big thing is that the team seems now to have more time to let Rowe heal his groin injury which a) saves us a third round pick and b) means he might be closer to 100% down in the home stretch.

He had a lot of safety help, but he really put the clamps on Julio.

And the Pats have pretty much stolen from the Lions with 2 straight trades. Got KVN for peanuts last year and now Johnny B. Bad. Both had 7 tackles in the game too.

Some pretty decent athleticism among Pats CBs ...

ROWE:
6010/205 ... 4.45/40, 1.58/10yd ... 39 vert/125 lj ... 3.97 ss/6.70 3c

GILMORE:
6004/190 ... 4.40/40, 1.52/10yd ... 36 vert/123 lj ... 3.94 ss/6.61 3c

BADEMOSI:
6006/201 ... 4.39/40, 1.58/10yd ... 40 vert/125 lj ... 4.10 ss/6.96 3c

J. JONES:
5091/190 ... 4.33/40, 1.47/10yd ... 36 vert/123 lj ... 4.25 ss/7.25 3c

BUTLER:
5096/190 ... 4.62/40, 1.62/10yd ... 33.5 vert/118 lj ... 4.27 ss/7.20 3c

R. LEWIS (practice squad):
5110/192 ... 4.37/40, 1.59/10yd ... 35 vert/128 lj ... 4.34 ss/6.87 3c

Coming from Stanford he is probably fairly intelligent, and now he is here getting excellent coaching on a very good team he may thrive.. no matter however he is used for the rest of the year it will be comforting to know that he can come off the bench and get the job done..

Lewis will be on the team next year for sure unless an injury forces him into action in 2017

Dude looked extremely solid. If you told me two weeks ago that their second and third corners going up against Julio Jones and the gang would be Jon Jones and some ST guy named Bademosi from Detroit, I would’ve been pretty concerned.

Instead, they both played really good coverage and there was never any real worry. Incredible. I still can’t believe the miniature Jones was effectively covering Julio...

Oh and if I was a Lions fan watching this game I would be pissed.

That 3C and SS is why this weeks upcoming take that Gilmore should be benched is absurd. You want him on the field getting comfortable with his teammates because he is the most physically gifted CB that we have.

And yet people harp on Richards for his low football IQ and often getting stuck in traffic... I dont think the university matters as much as it looks like..

I was re-watching Bademosi on all-22 before ATL game and it was great way to enter Sunday Night. It put me at ease. First impression of him was good and I was happy to see all-22 confirmed it. He was lined up on both sides of the field and also a couple in the slot (at least also once covering ASJ) . and he was never burned, no miscommunication on 98% of the snaps which was quite amazing.

He's not your natural born corner w cat like moves and fluidity . what made me feel good though was his awareness, confidence (obviously built through preparation), intelligence, great tackling .. some aspects reminded me of Logan Ryan. And even when he gets beaten at the start of the route he has the footwork and closing speed to make up for much of it.

Here two vids from NYJ game for some illustration. Didn't have time to include them in NYJ re-watch thread..

1. knows his job and the call well . keeps an eye on the play . has confidence in him and his teammate to hand over his man and go immediately for the play downfield . makes decisive tackle as always

2. Here he is on the top of the screen . mirroring Kearse like most of the game
