It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I always thought it was a possibility, however, so close to the end, no one wants to see that (except maybe every GM in the NFL not named Belichick).Brady and his father have both acknowledged in the past more than once the real possibility of ending his career elsewhere.

The only loyalty BB has is to his own standard of excellence. As a football historian, he has to think about his own legacy. He could leave. Let's hope not. He doesn't want to pull a Marv Levy. And I bet he is dying to fish off of "9 rings" instead of attending training camp in 3 years. No I don't see that at all. As long as BB is a part of football he will be a Patriot. He is the Patriots and vice versa. Unlike some I think he will ensure the Patriots will be good to go before his and after Brady's departure.
He's a pro. Answers like "Well, that would have been a much shorter commute for my parents to each game" are why he is still a Patriot.I don't think he'd take it in stride. Sounds more like avoiding the question by joking instead.

Brady should retire after this season. There comes a time where longevity because the reason for you records and not how good you actually were. Plus, his body has taken enough hits for a lifetime. I will hate to read about Brady later on in life not doing well mentally.
The game day thread has come to life.
I am of the firm opinion that Brady has told BB and Kraft that he will not play for another team. He hopes to retire on his own terms, but I bet you anything he has told them that if they plan to trade him, he will retire on the spot. He doesn't need the $$ and he doesn't need to be uprooting his family, his outside business interests or even his spouse's business interests in order to go play for some other team on someone else's terms and learn some other team's system at his age to squeeze out a few more years. Perhaps they have even agreed that they will not trade him, only cut him or let him retire when he wants, all in exchange for the home town discounts he has happily taken over the years. Just my $.02, and before anyone asks, I have no evidence (just like the rest of you). It's just the opinion I get reading the tea leaves.
PS - it must be maddening for Brady (and perhaps BB) that there is all this talk about Brady being traded when the team is 6-2, Brady is playing great and the team is pretty much perfectly poised for another SB run. Too bad we can't just enjoy this season in the moment.
I wouldn't say THAT. Like I said, bill knows exactly what it would take to get him to move on from TB12. If a time comes when TB12 thinks he can still play, and BB disagrees, there's a window for Brady to go somewhere else and try to prove him wrong. Hope it doesn't happen, but the scenario is plausible enough not to rule it out IMHO.Yal. BB and Brady are ending their careers in NE. That's it.
Well, that certainly beats the only feasible alternative of dying in harness.I'm calling it right now: Brady will retire at some point.
