Best Of Social Media: Sights and Sounds From The First Two Days Of Minicamp
Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports
The New England Patriots kicked off mandatory minicamp this week as the Boston media gets another early look at the making of the 2022 team.
Beginning on Tuesday, practice got off to a lighter start as the players remained unpadded and featured minimal contact with mostly individual or positional work.
However, as 985 The Sports Hub’s Alex Barth later reported, Tuesday’s session soon shifted and featured the offense working against the defense, and “the tempo was above the walkthrough level we’ve seen so far”.
You can out some more of the best tweets covering Tuesday’s session below.

There was a bit of a scrum at the very end of practice. Matthew Judon recovered a fumble, and Cole Strange tackled him from the ground. Judon seemed to take exception, and the two had to be separated.

Heading into Wednesday’s minicamp session, there was some star power in the house as noted Patriots fan Jon Bon Jovi was spotted taking in practice but the overall feel and goals remained the same.

What play had Mac Jones running down the field, pumping his fist in excitement, and letting out a loud roar?
A drop-in-the-bucket deep ball to Tre Nixon, over the shoulder, that Nixon impressively brought in ONE-HANDED.
Tightest of windows…it was well done on a deep-ball day.

The Tre Nixon Show was back today. Deep connections with Mac Jones for the second day.
One deep dime down the left sideline. Later Nixon made an absurd one-handed catch, pinned it to his chest with Jon Jones all over him – on a bucket throw from Jones more than 50 yards away.

Small thing that made an impression: Rookie CB Jack Jones (53) drops the ball going through this drill … and after retrieving it, inserts himself back in for another rep – ahead of others before him – to try again before the drill ends. pic.twitter.com/IyFFgFKYWQ
