Lol who is the person that voted for Smith? Chiefs fan in here?

the Antonia Brown push by the media seems to be kicking in......Brady "outplays" Brown next Sunday, it's in the bag...

(yeah I know apples to oranges, but if Brown has a huge day and Steelers win, the noise will grow.....Pats win and Brady plays well, it's his.....)
With Wentz out of the picture Brown is a viable candidate. Don’t know how he might be affected by voters that would presumably have consideration for Bell as well as Brownif leaning towards voting for a Steeler (I don’t think Rapist is getting votes), whereas Brady is the only serious candidate on NE.

Brown had similar output a couple years back but I don’t think got votes prob because Cam was so dominant that hear. If they were able to beat NE, and as you allude to it is BECAUSE Brown has a big game, then that’s a notch in his belt for sure. If Brady destroys them, it’s just...commonplace. His routine excellence almost works against him the more I think about this debate.

So really it could all be in Stephon Gilmore’s hands.

Brady's been throwing way too many picks lately, more than usual. 4 straight games with a pick is very unusual. I don't think he's getting MVP this year. He was better in 2015, and he didn't even win then, which he clearly was robbed.

Yeah....he's definitely not the clear cut favorite anymore.

after this performance

1. antonio brown
2. wentz
3. brady
4. wilson

brady should jump both 1 & 2 if he has a great bounce back game next week.
As unpopular as it’s going to be around here, you’re exactly right. Brown will most certainly jump Brady after polar opposite showings with 3 games to go.

I disagree that Wentz is #2, however. I think his ship sailed with his injury. I think it’s Brady after Brown, with Wilson third.

Alex Smith: "My team and I are going fold in the second half of the season to make sure I don't get MVP.
Wentz: "I'm going to tear my ACL to make sure I don't get MVP.
Brady: "Hold my beer."

Your move Russell Wilson.

brady is probably not going to get it now. i think the voters will take a longer look at russell wilson

It's an interesting conversation for where Wentz finishes. After all, there were many last year that felt Brady was worthy despite being suspended the first four games. Should Wentz be out of consideration for missing the last three games?

It would FEEL like you should vote for someone who is still playing, but I suppose Wentz still deserves consideration for his body of work in 13 games.

Good thing I bet on Brady for MVP at the beginning of the year when he was +400!

Now I wish I had gotten Brown at +2500 when I saw that post yesterday. Not saying he's gonna win, but that was great value.

Brown would need to complete a historic season to get any consideration over a QB. That’s just the way it is.

Brady is still the favorite unless he has another stinker next week.

Does the winning QB of next week's game automatically become the new front runner?

When was the last time a WR won MVP?

Was Calvin Johnson even in the discussion when he had that 2000 yard ridiculous season?

Sorry but I just can't get on board with a WR being the most valuable player in the league, especially if you buy into Belichicks inside out theory, meaning the most important players are closest to the ball at the snap and extends outward

That would mean wide receivers are the least important, and given how much success the Pats have had for almost 20 years plugging in no name guys and having them produce, I would agree

The Ravens were idiotic. They kept single covering Brown all game despite him lighting them up every time they did it..

It doesn't help that I'm angry I lost my fantasy playoff game by 0.3 points, with less than 1 minute to go because they single covered brown again and he ripped off that 40 yarder that ultimately setup the game winning field goal

Ravens coaching staff were incredibly inept that game

Brady is somewhere between #2 and #3 right now with Wilson IMO. Both quarterbacks have hurt their chances (Wilson with the stinker he put up against the Jags and Brady's last two sub-par games). If Brady lights up the Steelers in Pittsburgh like a Chirstmas tree, he would vault back up in my eyes. But, right now, it's...

1. Antonio Brown
2. Brady/Wilson
3. Brady/Wilson

Brady's still #1 assuming he has good games the next three weeks, but it's unfair to Carson Wentz. It feels a bit like last year, where Ryan only won over Brady because Ryan played all 16 games and Brady was forced to sit the first 4. Similarly, whoever wins this year is only winning because Wentz is going to miss 3+ games due to injury, albeit at the end of the year rather than the beginning.

If the MVP jinx is for real, let’s hope Brown gets it...

I know you probably meant "subpar statistically" since that's what MVP voters care about, but Brady was good in the Bills game. He completed 70% of his passes and his yards per attempt was higher than it was in all but 3 other games this season, including the 4 TD game right before it. The 0/1 touchdown-to-interception ratio looks bad but the interception wasn't his fault and they didn't need him to throw touchdowns.

Yea I agree, every year they look for a reason not to give it to Brady, and with only 3 games left he just gave them a great reason by playing like total garbage against a divisional opponent on prime time and falling behind the Steelers in a super tight race for the #1 seed

Brady played more like dog **** than an MVP.. I'm confident he'll turn it around against the Steelers woeful defense tho. They do not come close to the Dolphins in terms of talent along the defensive line, they won't be able to collapse the pocket and have Brady running for his life with a 4 man rush on every play

I really hope this doesn't turn into 2015 all over again where they start dropping games down the stretch and lose home field advantage
