not a candidate for surger, bad odds. Past 3 years I have gotten three epidural shots per year plus pain pills every 7 hours Tramadol 100 MG & two 650 MG Tylenol. This year found that a heart medicine I was taking gave a negative reaction to the shot. Got 1 epidural 3/6/16, am using a cane, reduced pain pills 12 hrs, reduced Tylenol to 1 pill. That's progress rain bothers me

Terribly sorry to hear that. I would voice my complaint about the pain to my doctor. Perhaps there is something stronger they can offer where you only take it during times like these? I know all about not wanting to take narcotics, but sometimes they are necessary. You will be in my thoughts.

Good to hear, I sincerely hope things improve for you. It's 3 AM in NJ and I am up talking with you because of back pain even with pain pills I can't sleep. But it's getting better.

I hope that your progress continues. I'm not sure if you're a candidate or not, but the epidural steroid injections helped me a bit prior to the surgery. Even one or two may give you some relief. Hope that you feel better. God bless.

Hanging in there, does that mean improvement

A bit of improvement since the surgery. Still have some sciatica and pain. The neurosurgeon reminded me that I'm very early on in the recovery, as it's only been about 4 months. Hoping for the best, and also some hint at what's causing everything.

Hanging in there,@Brewskies. Thank you for asking. It's certainly a long and painful recovery, but at least I don't have to shovel snow any longer! :)
