It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Since scoring defense is what matters most, all those things are just different ways to get to the same result.Other than the fact philly had an nfl high 291 pressures, Gave up an nfl low 80 ypg rushing (to our 114), held opponents to 33% to our 40% on third down conversions, had 13 more turnovers forced then yes these 2 defenses looked similar last season.
The only things similar were scoring defense and team sacks. Philly was better everywhere else.
It's pretty much unanimous that Dorsett had a good day today.

With the way they used him in the Super Bowl, I'm surprised he wasn't on Dorsett or Patterson.
Kontra give it a rest.
That 4th quarter was the perfect example showing the differences. One was able to get home to essentially finish the game and one wasn’t.
Here is that GRONK TD with AJ Moore. Man was he alone.
The Patriots 2016 defense did the job in the 4th quarter vs ATL.
Same philosophy and scheme as the 2017 D. The difference is it had more talent than 2017.
What? You don't think that Chung is an excellent, A-1 match-up for a speedy wideout?
Brady and Edelman picking up where they left off...
If Sony Michel can Catch the Defense is already in trouble we know he can already run.

I know Andy's position and I think you both have valid points. I think most would take Philly's D last year over NEsNot arguing that. I agree completely talent wise 2016>17. Just pointing out the difference in defense between philly and NE last season.
