Rewatch Thread: NE @ CAR (Preseason #3)

This is the snap I was talking about when Edelman is running a dummy route off to the other side to pull the defense, while Brady targets Dorsett just beyond the down marker.

I think we'll see this kind of play plenty of time when Edelman comes back. Stretches the defense.

If so it will be special teams. He would be a disaster as a corner at this point.

They'll bring him along slowly. A handful of snaps here and there.

You are saying they will give him
playing time he doesn’t deserve to get him practice?
They have never done that before.

Lazar is just really dumping stuff on twitter now. I have to head out so hopefully someone can pick up the slack.

I've never seen a rookie CB with four PBU's through just three games. I think he will get poached if the team tries to sneak him onto the PS, so there's no other choice but to keep him.

Why would PBUs be considered a great thing?
He is getting picked on because he can’t cover. Recovering to get a hand on the ball after getting beat isn’t the sign of good corner play.
Good corner play is a guy like Rowe who only gets targeted 7 times and only 2 are completed. And it’s the 7 targets that is most impressive. Low targets mean QBs think you have your man covered.

I don’t ubderstand the logic that if the guy isn’t good enough to make the 53 you are afraid if he doesn’t get to the practice squad.
Why would you worry about losing a guy who isn’t good enough to make the team?

And I wouldn’t worry about anyone picking this guy up after they see him getting burnt on film.

Also what does that have to do with saying they will give him snaps so he can practice?

Like I said, I think the team will keep him. You don't. Nothing wrong with that. That's all there is to it. We'll see what happens next Saturday.

Honestly can we just keep this bs out the Evan Lazer thread lol?

**** is getting old. It becomes 7 pages of nothing but back/forth.

I see very little explaining or discussion besides just posting a tweet from someone else.

So you want tweets with pass defense posted but no discussion about those stats?

Good luck. The thread will get Andy’d before you know it.

EDIT: See?

Chatham's breakdown thread of the Newton escape that ended in a Jon Jones caused, *** over tin cup header:

Not to imply those are my threads or anything because others are contributing a ****ton more than I am but in the future can we keep the stats jerking in the postgame thread?

The reason I posted them was more for archival purposes. So each of the individusl rewatch threads has the stats for each respective game so they are easy to find / can be used of relevant for play discussion.

At least that would be my proposal to keep those threads more focused on actual plays. Not sure what others are think about it.

I think a thread that is comprised pretty much exclusively of videos of individual plays with a brief Twitter comment is just this side of useless.
