There's gonna be a huge push for Gurley.. Wouldn't surprise me if he wins it

2100 all purposes yards
19 TD

1 game to go

Couple of huge games recently which are fresh in people's minds

4 win team last year
possibly a 12 win team this year.

Forgive me for not reading through the 16 pages, but Todd Gurley has had a monster year for the Rams. He should be a consideration at least.

Bovada Odds came out today and were just about what I thought they'd be.

Brady, -300 (75%)
Gurley, +200 (33%)

*108% means that 8% is the Vegas profit

ESPN had 10 of 12 panelists picking Brady as of now, with Gurley getting the other 2 first place votes.

CBS Sports was similar to ESPN. All five panelists had Brady, with Gurley in second but noted he is closing the gap and could still win.

Peter King is one of the 50 voters and has Brady as of now.

Note that last season, Brady was leading going into week 17, but it was also a very mixed race with Rodgers, Ryan, and Brady. Still, Brady had a great game against Miami to close it out but Ryan had a monster game. Brady was the favorite going into week 17 but still less than 50% due to the competition, and of course the 4 game screw job was ultimately huge.

IMO, the Rams will do everything imaginable to give Gurley a ton of touches to try to get him the MVP award (does anyone have Jeff Gilooly's number . I think Brady needs to something like a 300/3/0 game to lock up the award. If Gurley has a monster game and Brady continues to play average or subpar, it could be a coin flip where we wouldn't know until the day before the SB.

Anyone who doesn't want Brady to win MVP because you think it will really hurt the teams's SB chances, go get your Tarot cards read or something.

UPDATE*** Just saw the thread that the Rams will be resting a lot of their starters. We'll see.

Brady hands down!
1. No Edelman all year - top weapon (tied with Gronk)
2. O line play one of the worst in the league
3. Defense ranking still among the worst in the league - all season
4. Results: heading to another -#1 seed in the AFC

...he's 40

Brady has been slumping as of late..these INTs aren't helping his cause...but I can't think of anyone else besides Wentz even though he is hurt.

He is the reason Philly has #1 in the NFC. I did not expect that at all. Pats I expected this

NFL likes new guys to get it..especially guys only in their 2nd year and looking like he is going to be or is elite. We will see

As much as I like to make TB look good we do have a top 7 D.

Wentz isn’t going to get it since he is hurt now, but he was a very serious candidate and may have earned it as of a few weeks ago.

It's bittersweet. Brady will win through attrition but it's hard to imagine he'd have won it after the past few weeks should Wentz or Antonio Brown not have gotten hurt. Cheapens it a bit.

Yes, I think both of those players were a lot closer to Brady than many care to admit. I think it was pretty clear that Wentz was considered by some to have the lead at the time of his injury.

He was arguably ahead of Brady when he got hurt and Brady promptly had three unimpressive games in a row, so unless Wentz had also laid an egg it's likely he'd be MVP.

Disagree! People were and still are looking for excuses not to give it to Brady.
I don’t believe there’s ever been a situation where there was a QB on the league’s leading team in terms of win totals who led the NFL in touchdowns and didn’t go on to win the MVP, so that’s part of my reasoning. I think that may actually go for any leading scoring player on a “best record” team.

The other part of my reasoning is exactly what you claimed: that voters will want to look for other players and I think Wentz provided them an out.

It would most definitely have been very close one way or the other, there’s no doubt about it.

I like to make TB look good

trust me.....i know

a lot of you brady guys around

deus, ivan, what happened to PATS16N0?...even AJ....etc

as long as y'all are honest about it

not that my opinion matters......for i am a lonely pea-brained troll

You made 2 points and were wrong on both.

Only thing you got right was Edelmans injury

Take a few off then retire

Brady is the one constant throughout the season.

the inside word is that the MVP is already locked up...yeah, they're gonna hand it to A. Nybody Butbrady....

better luck next year, Tom
