I hope someone has the inspiration for some OL analysis.

Solder's struggles are really painful to watch. Is this really the best solution? Can't they trust somebody at least for the time Solder gets his act together..?

Extending Mason on the other hand won't come cheap..

It is until Garcia gets healthy enough to compete for snaps. Whether that happens in 2017 or 2018 is anyone's guess.

Garcia is gone for the year. He was placed on NFI at a point that makes it impossible for him to be designated to return.

Forgot about that. So yeah, it's Solder and lots of help from Allen.

I have no idea why Buttler's coverage is so soft on a 3 & 2. It also looks like Cover 3 for the most part, but there are no underneath zones on Butler's side.

After looking at it more, I think this might have been a RPO (run pass option) designed to beat cover 3. If the linebackers respond to the RB handoff threat, Winston throws slant. Yet it could have been a run also depending on the post snap LB action. Still, Butler starting closer to the LOS would have helped.

I also agree with Romo's analysis: Harmon takes a bad angle.
I don't see RPO. The fake was weak.
Agree no idea what butler is doing. He's got a safety behind him too.

That was Cover-3. Very questionable call there on third and two. If you're at least going to go that route, try to disguise it a little better. Winston knew pre-snap where he wanted to go with that and the result was Jackson sprinting down the field.

For anyone that has the All-22, could you focus on Guy on the run downs he was in on? There were some pretty nice holes that formed when he was in from what I saw. I want to know if he was simply moved off the ball or if anyone could tell if he was disobeying his gap responsibilities and freelancing a bit.
If you are looking for run d issues you will only look at the first half TD drive.
Martin ran 6/56 in that drive and 7/18 the rest of the game. The entire running game was 14/34 aside from that drive.
We came out in 335 that drive and I think we stayed in it. I think we scrapped it after that at least until late.

First impression- we basically used the same game plan that we did against Carolina, and the same defense with the exception of having Gilmore shadow Evans and Butler on Jackson

I'm stunned that Tampa didn't run bunches on us.
I disagree. We came out in a 43. We played a lot of 4 man front.
We played a lot of zone.
I saw an entirely different game plan.

These are the plays I'm looking for:

1. Q1, 10:09
2. Q2, 11:31
3. Q2, 10:49

The 335 should be scrapped altogether. The team has shown zero consistent ability to stop the run from that formation.

I agree that the fake was weak. I was thinking that perhaps our LBs saw it as potential run. Our LBs have been bitting hard on play-action type looks for a while now. I was trying to find a way to explain how neither LB dropped back into their zone. Perhaps Van Noy thought we were in M2M and that he was responsible for the back.

To those who have had a chance to watch it again (I will later on in the weekend), please explain to me how the Winston throw away late in the EZ was not intentional grounding and a safety.

Someone will post the video soon I expect. That said, it wasn't an intentional grounding and a safety only because the refs said so. Per the actual rule itself, it should have been:
Officials (and broadcasters) missed obvious intentional grounding call

Ball was thrown in the direction of Brate, but it also needed to land "in his vicinity" too. He was on the sidelines at the 6 yard line. Ball landed by the cheerleaders past the 20 yard line.

It's uncanny how Patriots games are being called now. I'm not ever really one to point to the refs all that much (unless we're talking Broncos regular season 2015 or a choice few other games), but the past two weeks have been strikingly bad by two different crews. They are literally keeping drives going that the Pats have stopped. Again, I hardly really ever blame poor officiating, but the past two games in a row make me wonder.

Yeah that was a very bad missed call and mind blowing that both Romo and Nantz didn't comment on it as well. Might the fix be in?

I can understand why it was soft, we had 9 in the box and DeSean has been running a ton of go routes, i thought Chung got turned and Harmon took a bad angle. I wonder if Van Noy was supposed to drop in coverage or fill the gap. It was a nice play call by Tampa.

Been saying it for a long time. Guy is so close to be elite

I don't believe it was. It was enough in the direction of a receiver on the left side of the field. But, intentional grounding is not really called consistently, wouldn't be surprised if Brady was called for it lol with that same throw. He's still the only QB I've ever seen get called for intentional grounding throwing out of the back of the endzone.

Well that confirms it, I'm not watching football anymore then .
