Wait. Why do we need the Jete to win again? Houston could win out and it wouldn't affect the Pats so long as we win out. And even if the Pats were to lose tomorrow, Texans only have to drop 1 game. I'd rather root for Houston today and then root for the Eagles to beat em in Philly next week....
No it's wrong. BSPN playoff machine is wrong. The Pats own all tie breakers provided they win out.Thats what i had thought, but Check the chiefs lose thread. someone ran a playoff calculation with us, Houston, and sd finishing 12-4 (if sd wins the afc west). And apparently there is a funky tiebreaker that could see Houston 1, sd 2, and us finishing 3. Im still trying to figure it out myself, but its apparently possible we can win out and still not get the bye. The safest thing is to hope Houston loses 1 more, and philly is no guarantee by any means.

Strength of Victory.Which tiebreaker would we beat sd/hou on for certain in that scenario? Cant use h2h, conference record would be even, cant use common games, so it would come down to strength of victory which yes we are leading now, but can change a lot in 3 weeks.
Strength of Victory.
I suppose so.That can change with 3 weeks left. If the teams sd/hou have beaten outplay the teams we have beaten they can both overtake us.
...and we're rooting for the Seahawks a week from tomorrow...ughThey did start with three negative yardage plays in a 3 and out.......that's a rare feat.....
I suppose so.
And the Ravens to beat the Chargers. But the Pats needs to win tomorrow....and we're rooting for the Seahawks a week from tomorrow...ugh
I think it's possible, but it's a tall order with a lot of teams having to lose for our SOV to drop below the others.I hope you are right about the machine being wrong, but my fear is the machine may be programmed to have the accurate SOV rankings as of the conclusion of week 17 games- based off the scenario playing out as we discussed between sd/ne/hou, and the favored teams winning in all of the other games. That I really have no way to tell, but not taking any chances. Go jetes!
Why should we feel it'd work out any better for us than actual Jets fans?So this is what its like to root for the jets. UGH
not so sure about thatWow. Didn’t know there’s football today. Better than nothing.
