Seth Wickersham's history of unsourced NFL stories of discontent

So if Curran is trying to say there is tension between B.B. and Brady why would he say their relationship is the same as ever?

i dont think the idea of tension between them precludes the consistency of a "strictly business" relationship

the use of the words "simmering tensions" combined with the parts about

"There are people within the Patriots organization who believe Belichick got bigfooted by Kraft on this and are proceeding under the assumption that Belichick may be so miffed that he’ll leave. "........and

"And, regardless of how pissed Belichick may or may not be (and I think he’d probably be more exasperated than pissed),"

make me think its not unreasonable to interpret the "tension" might be among the big 3

just my opinion.....could be wrong......have been wrong before

Who cares .... bye week ends tonite anyway

Simmering tensions or not, the future is uncertain .... our qb will be 41 next year

If he was trying to say there is tension between them he would say that. He didn’t. Instead he said there relationship is the same as ever.

You leave out the part before it that says belichick says nothing so people have to guess. This is a guess. You alsoblrsve out the part where he says kraft absolutely did not mandate anything.

"And, regardless of how pissed Belichick may or may not be (and I think he’d probably be more exasperated than pissed),"
Um you cut it off before it said he isn’t going anywhere.

None of this is about tension between the 3. It’s his “sense” of what some people in the building might be feeling that causes their tension that the dynasty has a shelf life.

make me think its not unreasonable to interpret the "tension" might be among the big 3
Of course it does because you are attempting to insert that between the lines because you wish it was there
just my opinion.....could be wrong......have been wrong before
Oh you are but you served your trolling purpose.

lol......you win deus.....i mean AJ

everyone can read the article themselves and ridicule me for being a moron

LOL, you're like the guy we all knew growing up who would always start a fight, always get the **** kicked out of him and always be dumb enough to come back for more. Someone at the Wapo must have boned your significant other...
And ur a big fan of Washington Post?

He's a coward working for a cowardly news group. I would imagine they all had a sitdown and have to support this hack's story.

Again, of all the sewage that's come out of this explosive poop of a story is when i was listening to the radio going home and actually having a radio host chuckle, say since the Patriots responded so fast they are obviously guilty.

How long for "Wells report in context?" Oh, I forgot Brady did "something" tø deflate your tires this week.

...

Seems a little off to me that Brady and Kraft are doing the damage control and there has been nothing directly from Bill yet.
Wait a minute. You think Bill not talking to the media is unusual? Are you new here or just stupid?

Brady is 40 belichick is 65. They are in year 18 of an historic run. People feel tension that the end is coming. Shocking.

Agreed. The Patriots have a significant problem to solve . They have to find a quarterback that can carry the team forward after Brady's reign ends. No one knows when that is going to be. There's uncertainty and questions about the Garoppolo deal that could have brought more in return.

But this Wickersham piece is complete bullsh*t. He takes ridiculous liberties with circumstances to reach a pre-conceived conclusion just like he did with his hit piece on Jim Harbaugh, his training camp piece on Mike Shanahan, and the piece on Russell Wilson, Carroll and the Seahawks that was refuted by all the protagonists on their defense.

One really obnoxious liberty was saying the blow up on the sideline at Josh McDaniels during the away game against Buffalo was the result of something bigger than Brady getting called out for not seeing a wide open receiver and throwing a ball into traffic. McDaniels was right. Brady was frustrated that he made a mistake.

I like the level-headedness of Ian Rapaport and Willie McGuiness in this report:

And the MVP and the GOAT and still the best QBs in the nfl.
I’ll take that uncertainty any day.

There is no certainty at all that it could have brought more in return.
It brought a half season of insurance, a high second and a back up qb. What more could it have brought?

It’s just sensationalism.

it brings out the troll in me

i honestly like brady....absolute truth.....and respect how great he has been

just never fell madly in love like many

They’re the same ones who claim they will stop watching the Pats after Brady, B.B. due to deflate gate

He’s confusing it with the award that goes to the practice player of the week, which goes to scout team members.

And as we all know since we follow the team closely, multiple scout team members get the Practice Player of the week. It is not limited to one person specifically.

I don't know... The network with the 4 letters I refuse to type spews out a 2 month old story with anonymous/unnamed sources.

The owner of he team comes out and gives an interview in the first person directly contradicting wormsham. I don't think it would be in the teams or Krafts best interest to get caught in a lie.

So that being said I roll with the person speaking directly until someone has evidence to refute those facts.

contrary to popular believe, you do realize it is possible for the Patriots to draft and groom another young quarterback. People act like this is it, no way they can do it again. Now that Jimmy is gone, thats it...

For what its worth Ian Rappoport also said patriots made the right decision in choosing brady over Jimmy G. he said you dont dump the QB playing at an MVP level for a young unknown who might have good skills.

I think alot of people choosing Jimmy G over Brady are those who would rather have 10 years of competing (but possibly no super bowls) than 2 years of being a coin-flip to win the whole thing. I dont get it, I'd rather be the team to beat the next couple years than "one of the teams"

Zo is clearly up to date on his medication in this interview with Dan Patrick. Zo is there every day. All signs are that Wickersham is full of crap. Jeff Howe's interview is supportive, too. Twice he says he doesn't want to question anyone else's reporting and then sinks Wicker SHAM's ship.

Wagons are circling, my friends.

It's also possible they sign a younger veteran - there are several guys who will be looking for jobs after this next draft which has at least 1st-rounders who will displace incumbents and backups. Teddy Bridgewater is an interesting name on the FA list to me, and a guy named Drew Brees who's too short to make it in the NFL, but worth a look.

There's a boatload of 2018 FA QBs on this list: 2018 NFL Free Agents Tracker
