B's are getting healthier upfront but still dinged up on the back end. Riley Nash is due back. Wingels could be available but Heinen is likely to get the nod. As expected Grzelcyk is doubtful. Cassidy saying he will be evaluated in warmups. Holden will take his slot if he can't go.

Grzelcyk 'doubtful' for Game 3 with a lower body injury

If you win this one a lot of fight will go out Leafs. If not you give them a chance to go 2-2 and make this a long series. Personally I want this series over ASAP. They need to be rested for the big test ahead as that will likely be the hardest team they face all tournament win or lose

Well it wouldn't even be an issue if Carlo was healthy. Damn.

Yeah but think about that for a minute and it says good things about what Sweeney thought this team was capable of that he had Carlo and Grzelcyk with Johnny Oduya and Kevin Connauton in the pipeline and he still pulled the trigger on a depth trade

Dang, not a fan of Holden.
Holden is fine. Vet w 18 games worth of playoff experience. Can put the puck in the net and has decent range. The knock on him is his not very physical. This is where Carlo would help.

If by fine you mean passable offensively but suspect in the neutral zone and a potential liability in his own end then yes, Holden is fine. He' has a strange sort of reputation that isn't really backed up by what he's put on the ice. His offensive skill is vastly over rated (his lone 30+ point year came from being paired with McDonagh) but the knock on him not being physical is more a function of his build than his intensity, he is narrow and better served to use his reach rather than put himself in position to get muscled off the puck.

riley nash likely for game three. he has been a very good player all year long. its great he's back in the lineup.

I'm not comparing him to Bobby Orr but instead a 3rd line defensemen.

He, Heinen and Backes is an absurd 3rd line.

This one is huge for them. The ACC will be rockin and they should come out like gang busters but if Boston scores first the air could come out of the balloon right quick. Remember, they looked pretty good in the first few minutes of game 2 but caved pretty quick after they got down. A series is never really doing anything other than what's expected until someone loses at home.

Don't like the way the game's going early. Needed to somehow jump on them.
