Do you think at this point that Gilmore is equal to Butler regarding performance? I don't . What do you think?

Gilmore is tall AND faster than Brown. That extra length will make Ben have to make a better throw. Plus Brown pushes off all the time and you need someone physical like Gilmore that can handle it better. If you have watched the Steelers, Brown kills teams with the deep routes. He gets so much separation with his speed and pushes. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Jones ,our fastest db, with safety help all game, with Gilmore and Butler taking care of Bryant and Juju.

The only problem with your genius plan is that Gilmore is not quick enough for Brown. Which is exactly the reason why it makes more sense to put Butler or Jonathan Jones on AB with help over the top. Deep routes are no issue if you put a safety on top.

And then you have the entire tennis ladder analogy BB explained just a year ago. In terms of matchups it just makes too much sense to put Gilmore and Rowe on Schuster and Bryant and let Butler/DMac or Harmon deal with AB.

You should really look up their measurables. Gilmore is faster and quicker than both Brown and Butler.

Go **** yourself

I dont need to look up anything I have seen all three of them play and Gilmore is not a quick player. I dont care what the sheet from when he was drafted years ago while running in underwear says.

It will not be one guy manning up against Brown the entire game. So the premise is simplistic. Gilmore is the better coverage guy though. They gave him all those $$$ for a reason, and it wasn't to hold down Martavis Bryant.

Jonathan Jones? Really? He is next to nobody in this league. Put him on Brown and there will be DPIs left and right, even if there was no contact between them whatsoever.

He will be more effective as the underneath option than Rowe or Gilmore because he is quicker than them. Obviously you would not leave him 1v1 with Brown.

Brown will get his catches and go close to 100 yards anyway. You want to contain him and not erase him.

Alrighty, then. Circling back to the original thread topic ...

I don't know who the Pats will put on Brown, though I think it's likely that he's covered primarily by one DB. I think that one DB could be McCourty.

Why do people want Gilmore? Great idea, put the tall guy on the short guy and the short guy on the tall guy.
Because they want to put the guy who covers the best on the number 1 target.

You think they are going to going to put McCourty man to man on Antonio Brown?
