I hope you live to see it, Ray Clay. I am beyond frustrated, far beyond nice guy land, way beyond reconciliation. I want this azzole taken DOWN.I'm not sure good/evil really matters anymore in this country. The old adage "money talks/bullshyt walks" has never been truer than TODAY.

A guy who has been trained to talk crap throughout pee wee, high school and college.. now talks crap and is hit with a fine???..

There is "taunting" and there is "taunting".. ever since they acted on white shoes and sharpies the NFL has been descending into a much different game..

Sheriff Roger is on top of the priorities. Now he is creating a PR nightmare for the league over this:

Fury over NFL’s crackdown on player’s 9/11 tribute cleats | New York Post
Two police union honchos are so outraged the NFL threatened to sack a Titans linebacker for wearing a patriotic pair of cleats honoring those who died on 9/11, they promised to pay his fine if he wears them in Sunday’s game anyway, The Post has learned.

Avery Williamson, a starting linebacker for the Tennessee team, hoped to wear a pair of specially-designed cleats at his team’s home opener Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings on the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, but he backed off when a league rep vowed to fine him for violating the league’s uniform code.

The left cleat says 9-11-01, with the 11 in the outline of the Twin Towers, while the right one says Never Forget.

“We want him to wear the cleats and we’ll pay the fine. He [Williamson] was absolutely doing a great thing and the NFL is threatening with a fine? When is Godell going to recognize what his fan base is?

“Here’s a player honoring those who died on 9/11 with a pair of cleats that he had made up himself — it’s not like he’s kneeling during the national anthem or anything,” Colligan said, a reference to the controversial decision by San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick not to stand during the national anthem.
Colligan said when he first came across the news about the NFL’s plan to fine Williamson for his plan to wear the cleats he “had to read the story twice.”

Even more galling, he added, is the realization that Kaepernick was not disciplined when he was spotted recently wearing a pair of socks during a team practice that depicted cops as pigs.

“Kapernick can wear ‘pig socks’ and not even garner a response from the NFL, but this guy wants to honor those who tragically died on 9-11 and he’s threatened,” he noted.

So they're basically going to throw a flag on every single play.

I mean, there is a tremendous amount of **** talking going on during a game. The guys in the trenches are not discussing their investment portfolios or baby yoga in between snaps.

If it's about reducing physical violence, fine, although there were already rules in place.

But trying to eliminate taunting language, I mean, it's as if the guys who are making the rules have never played the game or something...wait a second...

Not that I agree with Kaepernick and his pig socks but is fundamentally different. Kaep did that on his own time. The NFL can't police what people wear in their personal time. However they do have a strict uniform dress code. And basically if it is something they cannot make money off of then they are not going to allow it. They have fined guys for years for deviating from the uniform. They can't just let this one go just becasue it's to remember 9/11. Then they have to let it go if the guy wants to honor his dead mother/father or to bring awareness for his own cause/charity. Some guys will do it and take the fine because they believe in it that much and that's fine. But there should be no surprise when it happens. I'm sure the NFL feel the patches and the decals the players will be wearing will be sufficient for remembrance.

you can't claim "2 pounds under!!!", "aha, gotcha!!", "wait, 2/10ths of a psi?..uh, ..article 46!", "integrita!!! integrita!!!" and on and on, with the sophistication of a drunken clown show without eliciting some blow back when you make yet another knee jerk, sub-moronic proclamation.

It is obvious that Goondell is so far past a jumped shark that immediate action by the owners is demanded. His removal must take place NOW.

Team practice is "personal time"?

Team practice is "personal time"?

I didnt realize it was a team practice. I'll admit i haven't seen the pics only read about it. In that case yeah I could see the argument for discipline for him but practice still isn't game day. They have a different set of rules.
