I read somewhere that the feds will not pursue this because the 5 year statute of limitations is up? But I don't think this is right because the statute of limitations generally start to toll when the authorities become aware of the illegal action, not when it actually occurs.
I think there is a difference between civil and criminal statute of limitations. Civil can be when discovered and criminal can be when the offense happened. IANAL.
crapStatute of Limitations has passed for criminal charges. How fortunate for the Manning family once again. This is a civil suit, and that appears to be the only recourse left.
