Besides the hefty fine, be more worried about the frustration level Gronk displayed now giving the refs even MORE backing to call OPI and not call holding against him.

Wasn't tracking the discussion turning to an internal suspension - my comment was regarding a league suspension. If it goes the Welker/Rex Ryan route with BB making the call obviously Gronk doesn't play next week in Miami.

If you mean the one in 2013, Ward's hit was legal. Gronk's cheap shot was not. Wrong situation to compare to.

I understand, BTW, IMHO, if there is a one game suspension, Gronk shouldn't appeal. Sitting out the Miami game isn't a big deal, especially since Belichick might have done that anyway.

this isn't a Welker foot incident.......my guess BB will publicly condemn it, if it all (he may just say the play was penalized, anything else is out of our hands, we expect our players to control themselves better obviously, but we're on to Miami)......but not much else


i guarantee, however, that the league will get a tape with all the holds and DPI's gronk deals with, and the ****ty OPI's he's been hit with, and i would be willing to bet long term you might see gronk officiated differently, and more in his favor.......there's already some media talking about how gronk gets mugged, and i wouldn't be surprised to see the unintended consequence here

Yeah that didn’t help his MVP case at all but I love what we seem to have found in the running game.

Good, the only MVP I want him winning is the SB MVP.
