All about OL...tackles, guards, centers. Is it also too late to find an OLine coach?

lmao enjoy the outside zone with our only athletic OL already out for the year

I am sure if they ask nicely...

This is what they are. They have to find a way scheme to hide the glaring weaknesses on the OL. There's really no other way. There's no savior coming. There might be a body added to the mix, but it'll be debatable if said body is any help, or just a different face.
The running game with rham and gibby once they get that going that will help the line tremendously.. If there's one thing for the the organization to be criticized on it's this. I'm just trying to think of positives.

Things are for real now no more camp, preseason evaluating drills.. this is where it begins. I have also mentioned that Drake and his abilities will help this line out tremendously.. he's not going to sit back and just take hits he'll break outside or throw it away.

They might get lucky on a cap casualty, but even still, it's going to be a cast off that no one wants. No one is going to cut a lineman who can help an organization, least of all one who's a border line starter. Everyone is in the same boat.
How many other teams have a 10th best OL better than our 5th best? Gotta be a few.

Let us all realize right now that there is a league-wide issue at the OT position. The possibility that anyone that becomes available today. or any of the "big name" free agents, will be a great or even just good OT is tiny at best. There will be no teams giving up on anyone competent today, they are just too had to come by now.

One need only look at what has come of the OT prospects picked in the first and second rounds these past 5 years. Somebody please tell me who from that list other than Wirfs is even a very good tackle at this point.

The Patriots MUST "grow their own" at this position. That will hinge on whether they have the coaching to be able to accomplish that. I'm not ready to say one way or another but that crapfest they produced last night is an absolutely devastating sign that Peters and company are not getting it done so far.

Not a cut, but notable:

I don't know, that's really the key, isn't it? Is someone else's castoff better than what's in house? I kinda doubt it. I don't think there's that much great line play in the league that I guy who's 8th or 10th on one team is 5th here. Just my opinion. I think everyone is in the same boat. Starters are starters. Scrubs are scrubs. The Pats don't have enough starters, but are someone else's scrubs better than in Foxboro? Maybe. There's too many scrubs in Foxboro.

I think we have
Andrews
Onwenu
who are definitely starting caliber.

Sow is probably starting caliber

Orkarafor is a backup caliber

Robinson and Wallace are young and belong on an NFL roster but shouldn’t be playing.

I don’t think we gave anyone else who really belongs in the league.

Guys like Jordan, Lowe, Anderson, Leverett may be backup quality, or once were, but they suck and how much worse would it be to replace them with a younger guy who could develop?

Agreed , i think the most we can hope for between now and week 1 is a backup C, a veteran pass rusher may become available to add in the rotation, te3, and rb3 unless they like harris and hasty enough to activate weekly and give some snaps.

There will be some guys available we need a Tackle.

Let's see how they do. The Patriots screwed up the FA period and probably the draft (at least as far as tackles); let see if they screw this up...it is the 11'th hour and the last chance they have to address LT, but the best we can hope for is some broken down veteran.
