Starting a thread to discuss any cuts that happen, or are rumored to happen, for the Pats in the lead-up to the deadline to get to 53 players (4 PM Eastern Tuesday). I am sure we will start to see some trickle in. Will start a separate thread for league-wide cuts that are notable as far as being "big names", or players that NE might want to claim. We can also possibly use this thread after Tuesday to track and discuss the formation of the practice squad, we'll see.

Said in another thread, I expect the Pats to cut down to 52 or 51 players to have room for claims. I also expect Barmore and probably Mapu to be placed on the "Day 1 IR" instead of needing to be carried for 1 day before being placed on IR.

He practiced day 1, I believe. Mayo described him as week-to-week end of last week.

I think Barmore will go on NFI and be out for the season.
I think they cut deeper than 51 or they make cuts after claiming. I expect many waiver claims.
There will be a lot of guys cut at many positions that are better players, or prospects than the bottom 10 or so we would keep out of 53.

There is no reason to not keep him on the active roster, since there are inactives every week and whoever would have made the 53 otherwise can be on the practice squad or replaced by a waiver claim

The eventuality of injured young players on the Patriots just inspire confidence. Great track record.

One-if don't get me started on that Bum.

The injury has put him in purgatory. He’s not going to play much S (which he shouldn’t) with Peppers and Dugger and he wouldn’t play much LB with Bentley and Tavai.

He’s going the N’Keal Harry route where he can’t get on the field and other players are taking advantage.
