I don't know which proposal is less possible; that Malik is an NFL QB or that trading BB will get us something?

No rings. But.....

1 SB trip and at lest three other playoff appearances that I can think of. One of those trips included Testeverde as his QB and nearly making SB. Took a meh Cowboys team to the postseason in 2003

1 SB trip and four other NFC championship appearances with McNabb.

Four playoff trips with Alex Smith. Including one playoff win

A playoff appearance with post prison Vick
And you think this bridges the gap on a 4 SB difference?

Pathetic showing at home. I’ve been trying to be patient but this is just bad.
Go Cardinals!!
I was watching the weather and I couldn't help but think of all the fans who made the trek down there on a lousy day with a lousy team for a lousy game. It almost feels like payback for all those great games. Ugh.

I really think that you're overlooking Bill's value. If you have a team that has empty seats they'll be filled quickly if that team signs Bill.

There's also the stupidity factor. Some owners do very strange things. I'm not saying that we'll get a lot for Bill but we could get something.

Man... the defense has to be pissed. Allowing an average of 8.6 points over the last 3 weeks, but the offense is scoring an average of 4.3 points per week in the same period... so they're 0-3.
The last time there was a 4 game stat like that was in 1938, the same year the Pats offensive playbook was written.

And everyone else lost. Lost big.
Not the Tankheads. They're enjoying their role as losers. I bet they were giddy every time a Pats player blew an assignment or dropped a pass. Who knows, maybe they rooted for a season ending injury to one of the Pats so they can get more losses for the T-E-A-M TEAM!

I mean, he’s got zero talent at QB and the active receivers are backup level, at best, but yeah, let’s put all the blame on him.
Well you can't put it on Bill. If you do you're weird and a bizarre hater. It can't possibly be him.

There is zero evidence of that other than baseless opinions of the anti-Mac crowd. If Kraft forced Mac Jones on Belichick, he wouldn't be coaching the Patriots right now. No way would Belichick accept Kraft telling him who to draft or who to play.

Belichick could just ignore Kraft anyway. Everyone who knows anything about his contract knows that Belichick has in the contract that he has final say on all personnel decisions. So even Kraft wanted him to draft Mac Jones or continue to play him, Kraft had absolutely no power to make him do it. Belichick could just say no. If Kraft fired him for saying no, Belichick would have a pretty damn good lawsuit against the Patriots and Kraft.
One does not need to suspend disbelief to believe that Corky Mac has run crying to Uncle Bob Kraft. I am seeing more and more rumors and comments surfacing that Kraft wanted Corky. It just does not make any sense for BB to be totally on board picking Corky when BB has been a defensive coordinator for decades. Corkys noodle arm and toddler like demeanor are visibly clear as day.

After Brady left and won Krafts 7th Super Bowl, Kraft changed by being openly critical of BBs drafting and win/loss record. That never happened before where Kraft went directly to the media and called out BB. Things are obviously not the same in Foxboro. BB owed Kraft for being wrong on Brady and wrong on Patricia who has finally been vindicated.

I firmly believe the rumors that BB wanted to ship Corky Mac out of town last off season. Now Kraft is paying the price as the NFL owner with the season of ***.

Liverpool won 4-3 today. That's 7 goals compared to 6 total points for an NFL game. Pathetic!
That's not a fair comparison. It's much easier for a soccer team to score goals than it is for the Pats to score points.

Truly shocking isn’t it?
It's gonna happen again. When the Pats play the Bills in week 17 the Bills will already be out of the playoffs and will throw the game to the Pats. That will give the Bills better draft picks and the Pats worse ones. And we all know that they key to success for any team is having those top picks. Look at how great it worked out for Carolina.

This league has a QB problem. Start listing them. Realize that a (literal) loser like Herbert is closer to top 5 than top 10.

A guy who got FEWER points against a 2-9 team than (Don’t call me Danny) DeVito and the then 3-8 NYG….. I mean. It’s insane.

You actually like Jackson ? Sheesh, the guy in Arizona MIGHT be a top 10 qb as we sit today. A guy who needed a « stop playing Nintendo à la Flavor of the Weak » clause !
I'm not a fan of either Jackson or Murray but I think Herbert has a chance. I also think there are quite a few decent QBs playing, probably half the league or more. Unfortunately, the college coaches smartened up and started developing QBs to win their games rather then developing them for the NYFL and it's showing now, but all is not lost.

All the guys who were mutinous are gone. Save for one. You might be on it.

and who was behind why the defense was the reason for the Super bowl win in 36?..It was Bill Parcells who actually knew how to draft both offense and defense and many of his defensive players were a part of that team,Bill got the keys to the Rolls Royce on defense thanks to Parcells incredible build on a defense that was laughable before he became HC
Bill Parcells the season before he hired Belichick to run the defense: 6-10
Bill Parcells the season he hired Belichick to run the defense: Super Bowl

Willie McGinest, a disappointment, a perennially injured player, under Parcells. The Pats AOL board back then had him as their favorite whipping boy.
Tedy Bruschi, a fun drinking game, but you didn't have to get too drunk because he didn't play much & was a 3rd down rushing reserve.

In your efforts to downplay Belichick, your knee jerked so hard it smashed you in the face.

Not to mention the fact that Belichick went to New York with Parcells and helped build the woeful Jets into an AFC Championship team, turned around that defense overnight.

Oh, Parcells handed the Rolls Royce keys to Belichick? Let's just forget 1996-1999 when Pete Carroll was the coach, and that Parcells didn't hand anything over. In fact, he grabbed guys from the Patriots like Curtis Martin. Laughable that moving on from Pete Carroll is considered Parcells handing things to Belichick.

Each word you write deserves a bigger laugh than the previous one. I didn't even need to mention all the great players on those early-era defenses that came on AFTER Belichick got here, like Seymour, Rodney Harrison, Phifer, Ted Washington, Mike Vrabel, Ty Warren. That's 6 key starters right there.

It’s simple. Bill doesn’t want to be “fired”, it looks bad on his record. He would rather appear to leave on his own terms, so to speak.

The trade makes it looks like both sides are good with the split. The alternatives is he resigns, but then can’t sign elsewhere and has no leverage, and Kraft can trade him for whatever he wants.
I think you left out one big alternative, which I'd consider the most likely one.

Competent QB play is the argument dude! if you don’t want to answer the question, then there’s no reason to continue this.

Could Bledsoe have done what Brady did in being a competent QB with that supporting cast on offense? Yes or No? Stop avoiding the question.

And by the way, I never mentioned Brady was all world the moment he entered the field. He was competent, kept the chains moving, limited mistakes and made timely throws.

Here’s a homework assignment for you. Tell me what Ron Jaworkski says about Tom Brady during the first Rams game on how he differentiates from other QB’s in the game. This was echoed by many analysts throughout the season. Many posters have mentioned it on here before.
Competent QB play? Competent QB play is not enough to win a SAuper Bowl.

That's what we're talking about here. What element was most responsible for winning the SB. Anyone who says it wasn't the defense doesn't know football.

Bledsoe actually played the AFC Championship game. They won. They actually won that game with a greater cushion than they won the Raiders game at home. So the answer is obviously yes.

The defense would've carried Bledsoe, Brady and many many other QBs to a SB victory that year.

In your efforts to diminish Belichick, you've become deranged.

BB wants to be fired so he gets paid all his money. Kraft breached the contract.

Furthermore, Kraft firing BB is akin to Jerry Jones firing Tom Landry. At the time Jerry got ripped for that move and only recovered when he lucked on to Jimmy Johnson in the non salary cap NFL era. BK would never sell another box of Mac n Cheese in NE if he goes there.

I do not believe that BB is going anywhere and that the Pats would prefer to keep on losing so they select first this coming draft.

I don't get this narrative that Bill's coaching is fine and it's just the GMing.

Have you seen the penalties they commit? Have you seen certain players get iced out and others overused? How the players themselves are starting to respond?

He's great defensively but if the other side of the ball is dysfunctional, players are undisciplined, not being used well, etc. Then that's not good coaching.

That's not even including the way he's handled Mac Jones, the coaching staff hires, etc.

@MahomestoKelce unrelated to the topic of your posts but are you a Chiefs fan? I'd guess you were but you post like you're a Pats fan. Just had to ask lol
