There’s no victimhood in telling it like it is. It was the same thing with the Super Bowl LII against the Eagles. Gronk was held, double teamed, facemask grabbed, etc.. and nothing was ever called.

Watch and see in the playoffs. Drake Maye will get absolutely choked slammed to hell, rock bottomed, angle slammed and the refs will not call a single penalty.
Gronk was officiated like that his whole career - that was a Gronk thing, not a Pats thing. Happens to physical studs like him in every sport. Only thing that was really wrong was flagging him for OPI when he engaged the defenders the same way. Maye has been treated like most other QBs in the league by the refs. Pats ain’t saints either. Remember Brady falling down to draw a PF when no one touched him?

That team won 11 games and got a bye... This team is gonna win 14 games and fall a game **** of a bye.

My point was that wanting the bye had nothing to do with trying to avoid Denver.

The Patriots can beat any of the AFC teams.
The bye would have been great. We didn’t earn it. It wasn’t gifted or stolen. Seems Denver earned it. I don’t think the Pats are scared of Denver at all. But Denver playoff games have given a lot of fans bad memories. And the altitude is a real, if overhyped advantage. There were 2 byes in 2001. Pittsburgh was the #1 seed.

This.

The Patriots can't afford to rest starters if Buffalo wins tomorrow. And the league will probably want the Bills and Patriots playing at the same time in week 18 to avoid games not mattering.

If they beat NYJ & Buffalo loses, I think everyone sits week 18.
The Broncos will know before they play if they need to win tomorrow and rest get the bye.

The bye isn't out of reach. Chargers aren't going to be resting their players next week.

Never said it was stolen.

Ain't worried about Denver at all. Not even a little bit. That's a problem for the AFC title game if they're lucky enough to get there.

Broncos played Thursday. Their next game in a week from Sunday. Times are TBD. The Pats could play a late game

Would shake hands right now with a wizard if they told me I could only know it’s Pats at Broncos in an AFCC game while having no other info on this upcoming playoff run.

Pats will whip the Broncos, I have no issue playing them.
Anywhere.

A terribly coached team cost them the one seed. Bizarre decision vs the Eagles with a two score lead. Inexplicably kicking off to the Jets in OT. Giving up vs Miami. Unnecessary risks n 4th down instead of taking points in the AFCCG.

If that had been a first or second year HC, they might have been fired.
The Steven Jackson game is the game where many of us started to question Belichicks sanity. Win that game, vs a bad Miami team, and the Pats are the #1 seed. Unforgivable from ****ing Belichick

Texans are going to be a tough out. Their defense is a completely dominant unit.
Would not want to see Maye against that D line

They are going to run Henry to the ground this game.

Then why do you take the ball out of Brady's hands vs a 5 win team w the #1 seed on the line and make Steven Jackson, a street free agent, the focal point of your offense in the first half?
This was discussed recently, but this actually started a week prior vs the Jets. If I remember correctly, the word from Mike Lombardi was that they did this just to get through those two games without anymore injuries and that they weren't afraid of going back to Denver.

Gronkowski was physically superior to most lb’ers and safeties covering him. It’s normal for a player like his stature to engage with the defense. He was built for raw strength, and endurance not speed and elusiveness. The only way to succeed in stopping him was to rough him up or alter with his catching abilities, I.e, hold him, tussle with his feet or his face mask while you’re beside him.

It’s sad his career ended due to so many injuries.

Derrick Henry has been wasted talent. Love the way he runs so angry.

If they hated the Pats so much, Butler would have gotten called for DPI. Give up the victimhood
Possibly one of the top five most memorable plays in sb history, and no clear penalty, and you think the nfl will make their desires that obvious? They need to keep their work somewhat deniable lol, your logical argument is nonsensical

No, what is nonsensical is that the officials are intentionally trying to screw the Patriots and that every bad call is evidence of a conspiracy. A position you obviously believe, because you think they are trying to cover their tracks.

Right now, FWIW, their most likely opponent if they get the 2 seed is the Chargers.
