WAY TOO EARLY Predict the Patriot’s Recievers for 2019

Locks:
  • Edelman: 850 yards, 5 TDs
  • Dorsett: 600 yards, 4 TDs
  • N'Keal Harry: 700 yards, 7 TDs
Probable:
  • Dontrell Inman: 400 yards, 3 TDs
PUP: Demaryius Thomas; Suspended: Josh Gordon

Given the amount of dead cap associated with RBs, I think 4 WRs are making the team + one Matthew Slater. Jakobi Meyers might be a dark horse to make the team if he does well during TC.

College.

Read my post and this article again.
He was not a WR in college. The article does not say he was. Because he wasn’t.

They also split him out wide in DEN.
Not as a WR. TEs get flexed out sometimes that doesn’t make them WRs.

Dorsett has 290 receiving yards last season (and 484 in 2 years) among a much less talented and deep group. He was benched for a large part of the season. He is not a lock and expecting him to more than double his production seems illogical.

You need to learn how to read, the article clearly says he was used as a slot receiver. You are wrong. Again.

Sooooo

We just lost Gronk and Hogan. In terms of talent and productivity we have Edelman as an elite. Then we have Gordon and Thomas, both of whom have produced at an elite level but have major impediments to playing let alone performing. Harry is unproven and as Tuna said, each rookie you start means one loss. At TE have ASJ who isn’t that great, and Watson who’s on the way out. Then we have a bunch of even lesser JAGs.

If I were an opposing DC this unit would seem pretty easy to game plan against, especially if Harry has growing pains and the wild cards don’t pan out.

Disagree completely
When this team is at it's strongest it has multiple looks on offense.
So all 4 backs can really catch passes.
We have ASJ who could really shine here Watson the seasoned Vet who's always in the right place and Lacosse who had dog ish at QB in Denver and he still looked better than a Jag.
Harry looks nothing less than a stud Demaryious Thomas has had success every season and then we have The beast in Edelman Josh Gordon the Monster and who knows how many games he misses.
Promising undrafted rookie free agent at receiver.
Dontrelle Inman and Braxton Berrios a rookie who Mike Lombardi as close confident of Belichick said he was made to be a Patriot heading into his second season.
Not to mention Philip Dorsett and Marquise Harris who could surprise.
We are incredibly deep on this team and very good players will be playing elsewhere.

It's much better on paper then it was last year.
Gronk wasn't resembling Gronk in the passing game til the AFC championship.

Hey, back off. Even though he said that it doesnt mean he came to any conclusions.

Even that's being kind

One loss?

I will take 15-1 then for next season. Ok, 14-2 considering Winovich might take over at RDE.

Ideally

Squirrel
Harry
Inman
Gordon
D. Thomas
Dorsett (if they carry 6)

Berrios/ Meyers- PS

That top 5/6 would easily be the best WR corp in the NFL. Health is the X-Factor.

Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, and Rashard Higgins say, "Hold my beer."
And Kareem Hunt is giggling in the background.

Oh my God! We lost a hobbled Gronk and Chris Hogan. Rebuilding year?

lame

He was a slot receiver as well as a TE. Read it again

Sure it does. Kelce is a glorified WR. Positions mean nothing.
I’ve read it. It doesn’t say he was a wr. It says they used him at hback and from the slot not as a wr. Hbacks align in the slot all the time.

Kelce is a te who doesn’t like to block who has good receiving skills and gets the ball thrown to him a lot, not a TE.

Aaron Hernandez was not a Wr, gronk was not a wr.

No point going back and forth any longer. He probably gets cut any way

And Kareem Hunt is giggling in the background.
Probably in January because they are drinking beer watching the patriots in the playoffs.

Kareem Hunt can keep giggling; he ain’t a WR
Also, if you want to play that game:

James White
Da Burkmeister
Sony PlayStation
Damien Harris

You lose.

It said he was a slot receiver, Andy. Not sure what the confusion is.

Article does say he was a slot receiver, which is a receiver (i.e. Edelman).

However, I went to his college page and he played at TE, he also played on special teams and had a few tackles. He also returned a few punts. He was a QB in HS and played several other sports.

Bottom line the guy is an athlete with flexibility which is probably why BB was interested. With the right coaching he can hopefully turn into an asset. Who knows he may even pass for a TD one day if he makes the team, which I think he will.
