NFL Coaching News: They didn't even wait until Black Monday to start the beheadings

I'll always blame Tannenbaum. Always.
A coaches job is to check the players he has. Gase failed miserably at that especially on the offensive side.
Other than being Peyton Manning’s caddy what positives do you see in gase’s career?

Made the playoffs a couple of years ago then Tannenbaum starting selling assets

A coach who makes the playoffs his first year then declines as his coaching and systems take hold is a bad coach.
He is an offensive coach they were 17,28,26 in scoring and 24,25,31 on yards.

A wild card one and done and 6-10 and 7-9 seasons is a poor record.

Let’s not overlook that they made the playoffs by beating
The 1 win browns
The 2 win 49ers
The 4 win rams with Jeff fisher
The 5 win chargers
And a sweep of the jets and bills
For 8 of their wins

....and Tannenbaum now has them in cap jail
That is irrelevant to what gase did, in fact, it’s an argument that theyvwent all in for him and he failed.

How can a ****ty FO be irrelevant to the HCs success?

Tannenbaum came in with a bunch of cap space, signed Suh , gave Tanny that crap contract, filled the cap, hired Gase and when the bills came due he drafted ****ty and traded players. He's awful.

Gase may well be a crap coach but to not acknowledge Tannenbaum s incompetence and hand in MIA failures is an incomplete analysis

Their future cap situation is irrelevant.

He was widely applauded for signing suh
Gase supported tannehill.

You are arguing gase’s failure in Miami means he is a good coach and isn’t accountable to win because he can make up blame on the gm.
It doesn’t work that way.

Signing Suh to that deal was ******ed. Gase had to support Tanny. The contract for an oft injured marginal QB was another dumb move.

My point is pinning it all on Gase is wrong. Even idiot Ross recognized Tannenbaum was incompetent

You have this completely backward.

I am saying gase did not do a good job.
I am saying he doesn’t get a pass because you don’t like his gm.

You are saying gas did a good job because the failure is all tannenbaums fault.

I asked you to explain how gase did a good job and you say he failed because of tannenbaum.

Your appeal to authority saying tannrnbaum must suck because Ross reassigned him kind of fails when you recognize Ross fired gase.

I said Gase made the playoffs with a good roster.

Once the roster was deconstructed , he was put in a bad spot.

He made the playoffs because he faced a ridiculously easy schedule then his Coaching and systems took place.

How do you explain being 26th or worse in yards and points the last 2 years from a guy who is supposed to be an offensive coach? It’s brian daboll 2.0

To be fair those literally accounted for 8 of our wins that season if you replace 5 win Chargers with 6 win Bengals and add the 7 win Cardinals.

Oh, and two of our other wins were against this terrible 2016 Miami squad you speak of.

Our four other wins? Vs. three 9-7 teams with Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler, and Joe Flacco. And a win over the 11-5 Steelers with Landry Jones starting.

By the way please exaplin this dramatic roster erosion from 2016 to 2017 that meant gase couldn’t possibly win.
I don’t see the big defections you are saying happened.

What's wrong with Gase? He had **** to work with down there. Tannenbaum is an idiot

My main issue was his knack to shove Frank gore down our throats instead of drake. Heck it took a gore injury for them to finally start using ballage as well.

And we won 14 games and the Sb.
They snuck in to the playoffs and were 1 and done.

We also beat the Texans and Steelers twice and the falcons in the Sb.
But yeah, same thing

So I looked it up myself.
QB same
RB top 3 rushers returned
WR everyone returned
TE lost 26 catch dion Simms added Julie Thomas and Anthony fasano (53 catches)
OL dumped a terrible LT and moved tunsil there.

So the offensive roster was upgraded.

Defensively I’m not going to go through every position but I see zero significant and really no even mediocre losses.

Please explain what you are talking about.

2017- Cutler was QB. Ajayi sulked b/c of his contract.

2018-Landry gone. Parker sucks. D sucked. Whe DA is your leading receiver you have talent issues
