You would give it to Wentz for missing the last 4 games of the season? ON the other hand you have no problem with Brady getting jobbed for the MVP award last year because he missed the first 4 games of the season through no fault of his own? I don't get it.

Personally, I believe the MVP is an award for the best player the entire year. That player right now is Tom Brady. He needs to play 3 more solid games to finish out the season but he is clearly the frontrunner to win the MVP award now.

Well put. I think it is Brady by a little, however, 3 games remain. Kind of like a title fight it's the last round, the scorecards are close, and the time is now to see who takes the fight over. If Brady puts up great stats against Pitt then even Brady fatigue will be overcome. OTOH if it's a Miami clunker he's in trouble on the MVP.
Of course WTFC about MVP and CHB and Ron Bogus voting for anything. Brady's MVP when he wins #6 and statistically becomes the MVP of all time.

Wentz was having a great year, it was really impressive for a 2nd year QB and he seems like a very likeable person.. he would probably be ahead of Brady statistically in touchdowns and interceptions if he wasn't injured

I would vote for Brady for MVP at this point, assuming he doesn't have 3 more clunkers like the Miami game to close out the year

Wentz was having a great year. But even before he got injured, he had 600 less total passing yards than Brady. That's 6 full football field lengths. The only edge he had was 2 extra touchdown passes and he still threw more INTs.

Wentz injury just means the media has no more excuses to exercise their anti-Brady bias.

If Brady gives us 3 solid games with about 900 total yards passing and say 8 more TD passes, which is quite doable for Brady, that's MVP in the bag, checkmate.

I'm guessing you've forgotten that old classic "Have You Heard About The Midnight Strangler"....

That drive clinched it. Can’t see it going to anyone else now.

Congrats GOAT.

It's TFB all the way now - unbelievable how he comes through time and again at crunch time.....!

Before the last drive started, I said it was for the MVP. Think that was borne out! With big thanks to Gronk.

Between Wentz being done for season, Brown being done for regular season, and the shellacking Wilson and the Hawks took today and got blown out 42-7 and Brady delivering and Pats winning.................... it's almost impossible to see anyone but Brady getting the MVP now.

I was just going to post the same thing but realistically TB's top two competitors are done for the year. Would say it's his to win or lose.
I tend to agree it's Tom's to lose but considering this offense with/without Gronk and his performance THIS game, he might get some votes

Carson Wentz was going to make it interesting. But Brady deserved it last year and they took it from him with the flawed reasoning that he shouldn't be eligible because (through no fault of his own) he missed games. Same has to apply to Wentz and now Brown. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree, but while I think Bell is a good player, I also think he is one of the most o9verrated in the league. People talk about him like he's a combo of Randy Moss and Barry Sanders. He can be shut down if that's a good defense's focus. And Wilson is not having an MVP caliber season.

Has to be Brady unless something crazy happens in the next two games.

Wilson was never getting it in a million years in my opinion

lol

Might be de facto/last man standing at this point, but durability should matter too. Can’t make a solid argument against TB12. Still the GOAT.

I think the GOAT is due for another MVP

Everyone does realize that the Pats most crushing playoff losses have come in the years that Brady won the MVP.

I’d be fine be if the clueless NFL writers convince themselves to give it to someone less deserving...
