What will the available QBs cost?

I like Mariota as a reclamation project actually. The Titans had 4 different offensive coordinators in his 5 seasons and most of his receivers were trash tier before, during and after their time on the Titans. He seems like the classic example of a guy who could take a step up in his game just by being put in a different environment.

Buyer beware on Brees. He can't throw downfield anymore. He's also stunk up the joint in his past two postseason games.

But he’s awesome when playing for individual records in meaningless games.

Some wild ass guesses to get things started
  • Prescott - franchised or 5 years $160M
  • Brees - off market, nothing to see here
  • Brady - 2 years, $63 M
  • Tannehill - 3 years, $85 M
  • Winston - 2 years, $50M
  • Rivers - 1 year $24M
  • Bridgewater - 4 years, $80M
  • Mariota - 2 years, $30M
  • Keenum - 1 year, $12 M

I doubt Bridgewater goes for 4 years. And certainly not at only $20m/year unless all of its guaranteed.

Mariota getting 2/30m is probably a good bet especially if the 2nd year is largely guaranteed. So basically a team gets a relatively cheap year to try him out and then still gets a good deal the 2nd year if it works out or can get out of the deal if he doesn't.

Stat padder. If someone told Brady he could have the three SB losses back, but have 200 less TD's, he'd take it immediately.

If Brady leaves then Stidham or a rookie pick make the most sense, as any garbage QB on the market would make the cost prohibitive when combined with the dead money. It’s reload with Brady, or rebuild without him.

Yup

He could have an Alex Smith-like resurrection

Something is wrong with NFL contracts when someone like Jameis can throw as many picks as TDS and still get 100m plus.

My dad would say, more money than sense.

While these numbers are probably pretty close (I bet someone makes a stronger offer for Winston, thinking they can change him), I don't see any of these QB worth even close to the suggested figures.

Since this thread was for predictions, not "are they wirth that ?", I'll play. I think the numbers will be high, as I also think most GMs are poor at their job.

Prescott - 6 years @ 200M
Brees - 1 year @ 35M
Brady - 3 years @ 100M
Tannehill - 4 years @ 100M
Winston - 5 years @ 120M
Rivers - 1 year @ 30M
Bridgewater - 5 years @ 100M
Mariota - 2 years @ 30M
Keenum - backup money, negligeable

Tannelhill - 4 years $118M, 62 guaranteed, dude had perfect timing to have a pretty good year

Was pretty close !

Keenum 3 years 18M to the Browns... not bad for a back up...

Browns reached agreement with former Redskins' QB Case Keenum on a three-year, $18 million deal that includes $10 million guaranteed, per source.

Me and farn had the right mount per year for Bridgewater ($20M) but expected a long-term than 3 years.
