Guess the Pats beat caught up to us who talked about this a week or so ago. Congrats..
If history is our guide, I think with Rex and Uncle Phil talking to the media yesterday that tends to be a pretty good indication that they will both play.Didn't see this posted: cbs Boston has quotes from burkhead that he feels good and is ready to play. They make it sound like both he and branch will play Saturday night.
We'll see. But if true, that's huge. I love having both Lewis and burkhead in the backfield at the same time. They can both run and catch, so keeps the defense guessing a little more than when white is back there.
You should think that being active is not at all the same as being healthy and productive (as we have all seen). Obviously there is a chance that each of the injured could dress at some point in the playoffs, or they would have been IR'd. But most of these injuries are not going to be 100% at any time during the playoffs, so it will all come down to seeing what they are able to produce. The injured are all just question marks. If history is our guide, I think with Rex and Uncle Phil talking to the media yesterday that tends to be a pretty good indication that they will both play.
However it was reported that Rex's knee is still a little tight so not sure what to think
If he is, then there's a good probability that he needs surgery this offseason. I said in another thread that I thought there was a good chance that he actually reinjured it in Miami.
It is not odd if the situation is that they are injured and limited in practice so not exposed to everything that could happen in a game. So come game day, they throw them out there and hope for the best (e.g, a T.O. situation). What's really odd is that Hogan played 90.2% of the snaps in that game. And he didn't look significantly better in the 1st quarter than he did at the end - clearly hurtin' most of the way.
Look who's back.
