KVN would be great vs Tyrod&McCoy.
Branch can take time and hopefully shows some life in playoffs where his body
could be huge.
RJF actually outplayed him recently so for the moment line should be ok.

no news on MM, VV

EDIT: He does look ok in some positional drills at the end of this vid:

I thought Guy looked decent on Sunday too. Our bigest issue vs the run is setting the edge. The DE opposite Flowers has been unable to do it all year. Lee is terrible vs the run. Hope we can coach Wise up for the playoffs. Is Butler athletic enough to play LDE and use Flowers as Elephant/Edge??

If you look at Bells breakdown (carries/yards) its clear to see where he picked up his yardage.

LE- 1/6
LT- 4/12
LG- 4/14
C- 7/33
RG- 2/10
RT- 3/4
RE-3/38

Wise/Lee were on the right side and Butler was in the middle .

Great to hear about van noy. I think we can manage without brach/Burkhead till playoffs

Not that it means much . but good to see D.Jones on this list almost every week IIRC.
If his body can stay in one piece and can stick around this could possibly save one high draft pick for a safety ;) Plus he's excellent returner..

Give the RB coach an award for motivation! 5 of the 8 practice players of the week are running backs.

Great news! Branch hasn't been as dominant this season as we was last, but we still need that big body clogging the middle, and Van Noy is likewise very much needed in that area and coverage. Bell, Hunt, Fournette, McCoy, Henry/Murray. That's a good slate of possible RB's we'll face in the playoffs.

I've been trying to keep track of the PPoW awards this season (since Reiss apparently isn't doing it anymore).

On the lists I have (wk-5 v. TBY is missing for some reason), players have had 10 opportunities to receive the award ...

5x - Grissom, Damarius Travis
4x - David Jones, Cody Hollister
3x - McCarron, Bolden, Karras, Burkhead
..... Burkhead has had only 7 chances since he was out for 3 of the 10 covered weeks

2x - J. Hollister, Wiltz, Reilly, D-Lew, White, Gillislee, & Ryan Lewis
1x - Ebner, Adam Butler, Dwayne Allen, Marquis Flowers, Croston, Fleming, Ferentz, Hoyer, Reedy, Lee
..... plus Garoppolo, Blackson and Mike Purcell (none with the team now) with one award each
----------

Also, FWIW, David Jones' college return stats:

2013 - 9-KR/148 yds, 21.1 ypa
2014 - 2-KR/26 yds, 13.0 ypa ..... 2-PR/35 yds, 17.5 ypa
2015 - no kick returns ..... 4-PR/51 yds, 12.8 ypa
2016 - no kick returns ..... 5-PR/91 yds, 18.2 ypa (1 TD)

So, with David Jones, Cy Jones, Reedy & McCarron, the Pats should have at least four guys on the 2018 90-man roster potentially competing to replace Amendola/Edelman as punt returner (and D-Lew at KR, if necessary).
