-If Tom Brady wins his 6th ring, he will break his tie with Charles Haley (5 rings) and have more Super Bowl rings than any player (at any position) in NFL history.

-Bill Belichick is currently tied with front office man Neal Dahlen (5 rings with 49ers as staff/player personnel, 2 rings as Denver GM) with the most SB rings (7) of any person in NFL history. If he wins his 8th, he will break the tie and have more rings than anyone (coach, player, front office, etc.) in NFL history.

-Robert Kraft (5 rings) is currently tied with Edward J. DeBartolo Jr. (former 49ers owner) for the most SB rings by a single owner in history. If the Patriots win their 6th SB, he will break the tie and have more SB rings than any owner in NFL history.

-Cameron Fleming, Malcom Butler, and James White are all looking to win their 3rd Super Bowl ring in their 4th season in the NFL

-Brian Hoyer is currently the longest tenured Patriot (4 seasons) on the roster to yet win a ring.

-David Harris (age 34) would be the oldest player on the roster to win his first ring.

-James Harrison (2 rings) is the only player on the roster to have won championships while not on the Pats.

-17 players are looking to join 22 players (Brown, Bruschi, McGinest, etc.) from the '01-04 run as part of the Patriots 3+ Ring Club

I have a sneaking suspicion Scar was provided one for 2014. He did some workouts, scouting, etc.

At a minimum he got a membership to the Jelly-of-the-Month club

Good post.

Joe Judge was an assistant on the 2014 team

Kraft has given rings to non team members too:
Brady's mom for one and a few others

That's a lot of bling..

Great stuff.

An interesting Patriots/SB ring note, Logan Mankins hold the title for longest tenured Patriot (9 seasons) during the Belichick era to not have a ring. Team won the season before he was drafted (2004) and then the season he was traded (2014).

Man, that is rough. It is amazing when you think about it. Malcom Butler said, almost in disbelief that he has been in the league 4 years and been to 3 SB. That is nuts.

MY Fav part was when I realized Cyrus was still a thing.

I am starting to wonder if we spent too much time chatting about him, in the end, considering the crazy success lately...

Maybe he got patriot former coach of the week award

Jimmy G is going for his third ring here. That's incredible. That would tie him for fourth all time with Troy Aikman for most Super Bowl rings for a QB, right behind Brady, Bradshaw and Montana.

While Kraft will most likely send him a gesture ring, he wouldn't be considered an official 2017 Super Bowl champion in the record books.

As strange as it is, a guy who joined the team, played a game and then was put on IR (Bennett) will be an official champ if the Pats win but Jimmy won't.

Not strange at all since jimmy didn’t play a single snap for the patriots all year.

The "strange" part referred to him being on the active roster for 9 weeks while Bennett was only on the active roster for 1 or 2.

The point being, getting season ending IR'd by a team is strangely actually the #1 guarantee you will be considered part of the SB team as you can not be cut. While hypothetically, a player who is on the team the whole season but gets cut the night before the SB would not be.

I assume Jimmy G played on the scout team during the early part of the season during which the Pats won some games contributed to their home field advantage in the playoffs, in which case it would be silly not to list him as a Super Bowl champion.

Edit: but maybe there's some dumb rule that says he won't be listed. Still silly.

On an unrelated note, does Philly have anyone left from their 2004 NFC title team?
