I think we have the re-think the Meyers and Agholor Trades no pun intended. Also your roster is too SS heavy. I am for the youth movement over Lawrence Guy and would love them bring back Big DT Malcom Brown. Other than that good job.

Would have liked to fit in Humphrey somewhere and not have Ferentz in there. Included him to back up Guard in addition to Center. I believe backup C/G is a major weakness. Got a lot of DBs but chose to keep them. Also wanted to keep Roberts at DT, hoping we don't lose him to someone else. DE is empty on purpose.

Has peppers really done enough to secure a roster spot?

I think it’s just a hard position to evaluate in a lot of practice settings. We haven’t heard much at all about a lot of the safeties that we know are good players. He has flashed a little, though.

I really hope they keep Lil'.

Ekuale is suspended the 1st two games so he should not be on your list. Wise, Strong and Zappe have to be there. Taylor is on the PS. Bledsoe to the PS. Not sure about Davis versus Schooler, but do we need both?

Red indicates a decision that needs to be made.

The likelihood that neither Meyers nor Agholor will be on the 53 man roster (barring injuries to both) is 0.0%, even before the Wilkerson concussion.

Ekuale does not have to be included on initial 53 as he is suspended for first two weeks.

you are right on Ekuale. I will keep Roberts then. I'm always trying to get rid of Wise. If we keep Strong why would we keep Montgomery or Taylor? There is no need to keep three third down backs. Zappe is not ready for a roster spot. Good instincts but needs a LOT of work. Appreciate your review and response.

Wise did seem to be a bit of a mystery to some when he got his contract extended , however he does seem to be playing better this camp. He has been mentioned a few times in tweets etc.....maybe we can seem in in game action against the Panthers

I wrote that Taylor goes to the PS - we would not keep 3. Hoyer will retire soon and Zappe replaces him. Can't cut Zappe or someone will steal him from us. Wise is better than Roberts at this point. Not sure if Roberts or Ray make it to the practice squad, but someone will get cut. Also need a 3rd TE. With dual TE sets, we have to keep 3 TEs in case of injury (Henry is commonly dinged up).

Nobody is gonna claim asiasi. So we can elevate from PS if need be . Our receivers anyways block better than advertised . So should hold up for worst case scenario.

I wouldn't want to lose a potential 2023 playmaker ( sam roberts/Ray / Nixon) because we wanted to accommodate asiasi .

An excerpt from Cox regarding two UDFA's looking like they will make the team. I am trending in this direction as well. Looking forward to seeing them play more:

6. Two UDFAs look like strong roster bets
Safety Brenden Schooler and defensive lineman LaBryan Ray both made the cut in our latest 53-man roster projection, and they showed why this week.

Schooler was included in multiple top special teams units and dished out two thunderous hits Wednesday, one in kickoff coverage and another on defense.
Ray has been a highlight-a-day player since the start of camp and saw reps with the first-team defense in joint practices. His batted pass Tuesday led to a Shaun Wade interception.

Has peppers really done enough to secure a roster spot?
Peppers is a stud. He’s going to be a very important piece in this defense.
He is incredibly good at what he does well and with the depth we have at the position that’s all he will need to do.

Asiasi is way closer to being needed on the field than those guys. TE3 is a necessity. Guys not ready to contribute who might in the future aren’t. Those 3 will or won’t make it on their merits but the reason early round picks stick and don’t play as rookies and later ones have to contribute now is that if they had vast upside they would be picked earlier. Many later picks or UDFAs have higher floors but lower ceilings than early picks which is why those guys can make the team but usually don’t progress a lot, with exceptions of players who were misevaluated like Butler or dropped for non talent reasons like JC.
