Of course on paper he is a big upgrade over Big Ben. My point is that Roethlisberger is a HoF QB and has an entire career worth of history with the Steelers that includes titles. There is no way they would trade that legacy for about 2 years of Brady.
Not at all. Not sure where exactly you think you see me saying this. I am saying it is notoriously difficult to get into his circle of trust because of how much he demands from his receiving options. To suggest you can just transplant him into a different team, surrounded by totally unfamiliar players and coaches and to top if off into a different system of offense is just naive. I am definitely not saying that he needs great players around him. But we have almost two decades of experience telling us that players that want to be a true option in a Tom Brady offense need to fit a certain profile or will be phased out and ignored.
Also I am not saying he needs a perfect system but just pointing out that the system here was refined over the last 15+ years to be tailor fit for his skill set. At his age you really don't want him going away from the automatisms he has developed.
