Welcome to the analysis only thread. No hot takes allowed in here. Plenty of other threads for that.

Please be civil. Feel free to critique the play or disagree, but please don't become personal or start attacking each other.

Also, this thread is not some sort of "exclusive club." Everyone is welcomed to participate, to post an analytical tweet that's relevant, or to post original analysis, or a clip from the game.

Above all, if you don't understand something, whether it be terminology or concept, etc. Please ask!

As much as it pains me to say this, I'm going to ask posters to please leave the officiating disaster out of this thread.

I'm guilty as anyone else for going ballistic on the horrendous officiating in the GDT, as well as other threads, but let's keep this one clean and focus on things that were under the team's control and how things could have been done better.

Which is why Brady ignored Meyers on the most important throw of the game- the very last one:

I am not going to post a link to the Harry TD, the fumble, or Dorsett's 2nd DPI for obvious reasons. We'll just focus on the other aspects of the game.

It seems as though the Chiefs offense makes a living off of "cute" short crossing routes with great athletes making Yards after the catch. Our defense sniffed them out later in the game.

This was right on the money. As far as blame goes, Brady is far down the list.

shouldnt this be on coaching. someone telling brady the 2nd time to look for meyers as well if brady is not doing it or seeing it ? what is the point of the play design if the throw is to the most difficult option

More issues with Meyers- just flat out going away from him.

EDIT: Clip was already posted.

At this point in the game, Meyers has had 2-3 critical drops, including a sure TD. Not surprised Brady refuses to go to him again.

Didn’t Edelman juke his man out of his jock at the line on the INT? I thought that was the only reason his man was in position to make the play.

i just cant get over the fact that we cant score from the 3-5 yard line throughout the year. That is all they need to fix. They seem to find ways to move the ball every game. Its just mindnumbing.

Juked him so bad he ended up on Meyer's route. After the game he claimed to have read Brady's eyes, but that's a flat out lie.

Thanks. That sounds very familiar. Micah Hyde, I’m looking at you, bud.

This is a silly hot take, which i thought wasn't allowed in this thread.

It's possible Brady simply wanted to go to his trusted receiver in Edelman.

No, that's not a hot take. It's not unreasonable to assume that Brady stops targeting Meyers after he makes a series of critical drops.
