Content Post JETS SUCK 2021 EDITION (OFFICIAL): THE INSIDIOUS JETE STANK CONSPIRACY

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.
Current JetNation thread titles:
  • Saleh is a fraud
  • Unfortunately Mike White is SOFT
  • Mims is a joke
  • How many years? Honest question
  • This team is a disgrace from top to bottom
  • JFM stole money
  • The only thing worse than a crappy coach is a crappy coach with conviction
  • This is a masterclass in bad defensive coaching

On top of all that, Jets fans will eventually notice that their 2nd and 3rd strings QBs have looked very good compared to the guy they spent the 2nd pick in the draft on. Mike White had the franchise's best passing yardage day in 20 years (which seems impossible considering all the QBs that have played over that time period, plus the rule changes to emphasize the passing game) and Josh Johnson had a 300 yard, 3 TD game in his first NFL action since 2018. Meanwhile, Wilson hasn't cracked 300 yards in a game yet. The Jets could have used the #2 pick differently, trading down or drafting Ja'Marr Chase or Micah Parsons, and going with White or Johnson this season. Instead, they're committed to Wilson, so it will be 2 or 3 years from now before they realize that he's Sanchez or Darnold 2.0.

My posts on this site are pretty consistent, I think you should just keep trying people at QB till you get one that works for you and your organization, regardless of how you got them. If White out-performs Punky, so be it. Deal with the draft capital loss, it's now a sunk cost, there is nothing you can do to recover it. Beating yourself up about what could have been is wasted energy, just go with the guy who is playing well and be glad you have one.

Of course we know da Jete organization will not do this. They'll end up with a season long QB controversy and end up keeping the wrong guy. That's just what da Jete do. They are the same team that just threw Punky to the wolves. Bring a small school QB into a media hotbed like NYC, put him behind a brand new staff with no experience in their jobs, don't have any vets around that can take the heat off the kid, convince yourself it's all going to turn out well just because you think so much of yourself.

As you said, this is the same team that ruined a long line of young QBs, Pennington, Sanchez, Darnold and now Wilson. The leopard ain't gonna change its spots. Funny thing, in the end it'll probably be Wilson who gets blamed for the terrible outcome, yet he had little to do with it. Had he gone to a decent organization and had time to develop, who knows what the outcome would have been. Yet in the end he'll be remembered like Sanchez et al, just another bum who couldn't cut it.

That's actually pretty insightful. Maybe someone took a night MBA class at Rutgers.

I am liking how good Mike White looked before his hand went numb...and even the backup guy Johnson wasn't so bad either...

I think the Jete actually have a slim chance of upsetting the Bills next week.

Go Jete!!! (Yes, I'll take a shower later and wash my mouth with soap)

It’s almost like they should have taken the advice of <checks notes> every person in the world outside the Jets organization and given Wilson a development year on the bench.

Like Tunescribe, I believe we have a duty to the rest of mankind to try to keep the scourge of J-E-T-E-dom under control.

But I have to confess that there is a morbid fascination too.

Philosophers ask whether it is possible to suck at sucking. If you suck at sucking surely you fail to suck, so maybe it can't be done.

And yet the J-E-T-E do suck at sucking. Last year they won two games which meant that they didn't suck quite enough to have the first pick in the draft. Now they have won two games and managed to create a controversy over whether the guy whom they picked at No 2 in the draft sucks.

There's a kind of genius in there somewhere ...

They suck so much, they suck at sucking, or one could say, the jete are sucking challenged.

The recent QB performances by Mike Caucasian and Joshin' Johnson bring Jete ownership philosophy into sharp relief: screw team-building, emphasize superstars/marquee draft picks. Just think what MIGHT have transpired had those two been given a fair chance in training camp. Re-signing Joe Flaccid is a slap in the face to both of them.

Meanwhile, Punky McMilfson yuks it up on the sideline last night with his Jete trailing 42-10. Of course, Jete fans attacked Bleacher Report for tweeting a photo of this cavalier behavior instead of rightly criticizing Punky.

Tunes...I just gotta say that it looks like we've created a monster here. Remember when we first started the Jets Suck thread?..and our own fans would lambaste us for mocking the green stain? and other football boards would quote our posts and mock us for mocking the green slime? We actually had members here call for our banning, calling for the thread to be deleted, leaving snarky dismissive posts on the thread questioning our fanhood, our maturity, our very existence?

Yet we persisted. You kept meticulous record of the beginning and end of each particular year and made sure the thread header showed new, undeniable evidence of the abject green suckage on display . Inexhorably we turned the heads of our loyal fans in the direction of this thread and despite a lot of complaints that it was puerile, immature, asking for trouble and the Jete will surely change...here we are. The SUCK is the strongest in history and we have so many Jete suck experts posting in here now that I feel like a proud grandpa. We WON ,Tunes! There is no longer any possible argument against...

Yeah, punkys the man in charge of interceptions and its as if Vacchiano is trying to rehabilitate Punkys image. Maybe Punkys mom promised him something.

SNY NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano on Zach Wilson taking steps to show, 'he's the man in charge'. He's also begun to make his mark on his fellow Jets draftees. Wide receiver Elijah Moore has taken to calling him, the "general" and 'the leader of this team'.

On top of being the 'man in charge'' hes now General Punk, or just a punk in general

We all know the ideal time to assert that you’re the alpha male…is when you’re injured and another guy is trying to lead the team.
