@Tunescribe

We're 251 days removed from 2024; time to retire this glorious thread and start a 2025 version?

I would do it myself, but for the last ten years you've been the traditional thread starter.

I've had a lot on my plate personally in recent weeks, will try to do a new version ASAP. Please leave this thread open in the meantime. Thanks.

Update: the Jets Suck 2025 thread is almost complete, should launch in the next few days after a few finishing touches.

Last week the Jets had the most feel good week 1 loss in NFL history. This week not so much.

Just think: Game 1 may have been the high point of the season for Jete fans, and that was a loss. As was Game 2. And there are 15 more games to go.

Meanwhile over on Gang Green Forum, we have a thread titled:

Time to rebuild yet again!

This team truly sucks and is not a few pieces away from competing, 1st order of business trade Breece Hall away something which Moogey should of done in the offseason, Trade Quinnen if you can get atleast a 1st for him, trade whoever else you can if the draft capital is high enough. Fields is not the answer either we will be drafting a Qb this offseason for the new regime.

Well, they are working with leftovers from unsuccessful regimes so, I would think there's no untouchables on the roster. Sauce's contract makes him pretty much untouchable as nobody wants to pay premium prices for a soft tackling CB.

That’s what we’re doing chief. Rebuilding teams stink. We stink. We’re going to have a lot more of these games than we will games like last week. We have a bad bridge QB and a bargain bin crop of players around him for the most part.

Glenn better give us a reason as to why we should allow him to draft the next QB before now and the end of the year.

I love how the thread starter is making strong points while the others call him an idiot. Their rebuild is not going far enough. Wilson and Gardner are going to be past their prime and over-paid if/when the team comes out of the rebuild. The smart move would have been to go all-in and trade them for draft capital instead of signing them to long-term deals. The only sensible reason to not do that is because management wants to put butts in seats, but by not doing it they probably gave themselves an extra year of rebuilding. Knowing how the Jets operate this extra year means the coach gets fired and then they add another year to the rebuild. This is how they end up with perpetual rebuild cycles.

Just think about it: Jete fans are at the start of their Cam Newton season after living through the Ahole Era, the Punky Era, and the Darnit Era. They haven't had a playoff appearance since the Sexy Rexy / Dirty Sanchez Era. They won't get one this year either, and probably not next year since it'll be the first year with a new QB with lots of bad players around him.

If you feel bad about our team, just take a look at one of the saddest pages on Wikipedia and count our blessings!

There are 2 other NY teams... why do these morons follow this sorry puke-colored excuse for a football team? Maybe Buffalo is too far away to feel connected to, but the Giants are right there!

In his first two games with the Jets, Fields may have had his career best game followed by his career worst.

If it wasn't for Broadway Joe and the Guarantee, the Giants would have swallowed up the Jets in short order.

As for fans who have latched on during the last 50 years or so, they deserve their fate.
