The correct spelling is "whelp."

whelp
/(h)welp/
noun
  • 1. a puppy.

And the little mongrel won't even remove his stupid headband for a press conference. He threw two interceptions vs. the porous Jete defense. Imagine what will happen against a REAL NFL defense.

Just one preseason game in the books, and you're already in regular season form.

Good to see. Gonna be a fun season.
Yep, all is as it should be, we have Jete fans over-confident after winning the off season championship, ready for the rug to be pulled out from underneath them yet again.

Welp….
Good thing the Jete front office understands it can be a struggle for a kid from BYU to transition to the NFL and has a strong veteran backup to fall back on if the kid has a melt down. No one would make a kid like that take on all the pressure right out of the gate, right?

Wait, what?

When were they ever great? One SB appearance back in the Stone Age does not make a great franchise.
The AFC-NFC exhibition game that the Jete fans are so fond of, the one where Joe Namath appeared in but threw for and ran for no touchdowns, happened during the LBJ Administration. The game happened before the Apollo moon landing and before Woodstock, and of course before the Patriots won six actual Super Bowls.

Well after a 2 win season, it's not that difficult to improve.

This is definitely still a team that's building.

I'd be content with 7 wins. Upside imo would be 9 or 10 wins w/meaningful December games.

Just WAY too many new pieces (coaches, schemes, QB, other rookies) to realistically expect more this season.

I'm sure this thread will have tons to have fun with this year. Will be plenty of growing pains.

It’ll be a fun year…just need to know which flashy, overhyped quarterback from the 2024 draft class the Jets will hype up midway through the year.

ohio state has an over hyped guy that seems perfect for the Jets!
