Harmon Visits Costa Rica...

Yeah because people always travel with a jar of peanut butter! I’m sure CBP is baffled by that! Your friend will be in jail soon if he actually does that!

Actually, a LOT of people do travel with things like PB.. My Aunt used to carry some with Ritz crackers to give to her kids.. It's not uncommon. b

I have no clue why so many PRO sports figures making 7-plus digit salaries a year are so moronic as to do these types of illegal acts (guns, drugs, domestic violence, ETC..).

They should get the full penalty of the law and PRO teams should set a higher standards to punish these players.

This is how they grow up...they are exposed to all these things and it doesn’t change once they start making money.

Why do people think Harmon would be cut? Had plenty of guys get suspended before (Bolden, Spikes, Chandler Jones, Faulk, Rodney).

Not my boy
If he gets suspended or worst cut.
Safety just moved up the list of needs.
Kenny Vaccaro Bill Belichick on line one.
Alike minds Cousin. And BTW no fall-off there. Harman is a good Safety with average tools. Vaccaro is same age and much more potential. I thought Harmon as smart. He is a knucklehead and embarrassment.
Yep...weed is not addictive. Ask Duran "I make millions of dollars playing football and I know if I get caught I embarrass my family and my Team but the drugs are so good and I am not addicted" Harmon.

He will make an apology. I think the NFLPA must get tired of sending out this script. But he is a PAT. He will be clobbered by Rog.

If not Vaccaro....get ready for it......a certain Safety will take his place for the 4 game rest Harmon gets.

Under those conditions........Cut on account of we have to play Richards.

Harmon might already be in the NFL program. We don't know

Did you guys see the statement from the costa rican authorities? Wow...

Report: Patriots S Harmon caught with pot in Costa Rica
"This involved a professional NFL player, who tried to come into the country carrying marijuana. We (have) sent (him) back to US territory. It is important to highlight the work of different police bodies, who carry out important operations in different areas of the country. We want to prevent undesirable people from entering the country," Fiscal Control Police director Irving Malespín said.

They traded Chandler Jones because they could get a high pick for him and because they weren't going to be a league to afford to keep him the following year. The team didn't even suspend him after the synthetic marijuana incident.

Harmon clearly didn't put himself in jeopardy at all. All it did was cut his vacation very short. You're acting like the guy got busted with a hard drive full of kiddy porn in his suitcase, four AK-47s in a guitar case, and a brick of cocaine shoved up his rectum. This was literally far less of a big deal than the Gronk party cruise, except insofar as it might merit league discipline. He'll probably get one game at most like Blount in 2015. Oh yeah, remember that? It was the year Blount got suspended for riding with weed in Bell's car and when he was released by the Steelers, the Patriots immediately snapped him up. Guess Belichick was really upset.

I also regret to inform you he played very well in the playoffs and regular season. But yes the Patriots should definitely trade all their best players every time they lose a game because clearly this roster isn't cutting it.

"High Pick"...is a late 2nd rounder that high for a man of Jones' talent level? Chandler Jones received 5 votes for NFL defensive player of the year this past year...in retrospect we should have gotten at least a first round pick for one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL entering his prime.

I would only approve of his actions if his intent was to frame Richards so that the precious roster spot he's wasting could go to a far more deserving player.

It would also, you know, cost them one of the best deep safeties in the league over a tiny amount of a drug that's legal in the state he lives and works in. I can't believe you're serious.
Tip of the iceberg Cousin. If he is that stupid what makes you think that he is a virgin at this and BTW it is still illegal according to U.S. law so what are the federalies here in the US going to do.
He might have a Gov't beef especially as a high profile athlete
Just because Mass. and Colorado think drugs are cool, the Gov't says no.

How BB hasn't cut him yet I will never know

I also imagine Harmon was not planning to spend his vacation sitting in his hotel room smoking weed and watching Ren and Stimpy by himself.

The dumb thing is that he didn't get someone else he was traveling with to carry it
Sounds like something a stoner would do but hilarious! Great stuff.

This is a pretty funny conversation inside a conversation. Yes, "back in my day" three or four guys would smoke an ounce in a day; it took a lot more to get a buzz back then. We had homegrown in central Virginia that you could smoke an ounce alone in an hour and only maintain a mild buzz. Even the good Mexican stuff wasn't nearly as potent as the average stuff of today.

On another note, I don't understand why anybody smokes it at all at this point. I don't really partake at this point, but the few times I've had an edible ended any interest in lighting something on fire that could be loaded with herbicide and inhaling it.

Edibles are too strong imo. Smoking is a bad, harmful habit but it's also fun and an addiction in itself.

Harmon is a good dude so he brought some weed?
Who cares?
It isnt going to hurt him it isnt going to hurt the people he chooses to smoke it with.
Was it a bad decison to bring it on a plane absolutely.
Should he be cut?
He is a great deep safety a great team mate a smart dude and loves the team.
Cut him for pot I would think BBs gone senile.

On top of which, like a great deal of NFL players, he very likely uses it for pain management, as opposed to "rec" or "partying" use.

How fast we are to forget that football players are still human beings who pay a price for playing such a violent sport.

Nope too many NFL Docs can prescribe gooder stuff perhaps.

Ok, that’s what I’m saying essentially ...if this constitutes a major offense and not just simple possession, it could be a problem with Bill. This isn’t a cop stopping him at a traffic light and noticing weed on the passenger seat. Harmon is transporting weed to another country.
Good point.
