Patriots Daily News Thread Patriots Wednesday News Thread 7/31

Daily news threads with relevant news, stories, video, or additional content around the team. Feel free to contribute anything interesting you come across as well, which will hopefully make these helpful for people to keep up with what's going on with the team by having all the news in one place.

I know everyone is interested in Maye and how he's improving (and rightly so, because he's the future), but Wallace is the rookie I want to hear more about. I want seven reporters standing around with their binoculars, talking about every little thing he does right or wrong. I think he'll have a lot more to do with the success or failure of this year's team than Maye.

Love the way Polk High Points the Football he's going to get some favorable PI calls aganst CB's. Polk contorts his body very well in space.

I hear Wallace is manning LT now and looks decent of course with nothing decent behind him. RG Layden Robinson have been impressive too I liked both picks.

There was a clip yesterday where he dropped somebody…might have been Will Bradley-King which granted, he’s not a top-tier guy but Wallace made short work of him and was already on his way back to the huddle before Bradley King even got back off the ground.

Exactly. When we get to the joint practices and if he can hold up against opposing teams' best rushers, I'll breathe such a sigh of relief.

Me to the idiots at EEI. BS thumbnail. Way to inspire patience. Douche nozzles.

I think Mac spoiled the Boston fans in so many ways. But one is this perception that if Maye doesn't win the starting job this season, he's both behind where Mac was in his rookie season, but also won't turn out even as good as Mac. It's a really weird mentality. They're starting from very different points and their strengths and weaknesses are very different.

I like Lazar a lot. As someone who admittedly doesn't know a lot about Xs and Os, I always feel like I learn something from his articles. This is a nice sense of what is and isn't working so far through camp.

Also, anyone else can feel free to add any links if you come across something that is interesting. I’ll keep adding to it at various points today, but this thread is obviously for everyone to contribute to as well if you want.
As always thank you Ian! I believe what is getting lost in all the judon talk is how well polk and baker are doing in camp. I really think they will be key contributors this season!

Maye, Baker, Milton and bell picked out of giants list...
The colors don't necessarily mean they were targeting them. Warren Sharp (the poster) thinks they mean:

So if that were true, it would mean they think Maye and Bell are good character guys, Baker is a bad character guy, and no one has a clue about what they think of Milton.

I always thought blue chip = "can't miss" prospects, red chip = good prospects.

Most of the rookies are showing signs of life. Let's hope they keep on grinding and improving.
