Giants, Colts, Lions seek permission to Interview McDaniels and/or Patricia

The recent behavior of Mara & Co., combined with the Eli situation, would keep me far, far away from the Giants, if I were McDaniels. Unless I thought Trubisky was legit, and I was able to get a whole bunch of reassurances (willingness to spend on players, input into personnel, etc...) from Bears ownership and the GM, I would be thinking that it was the Colts or bust.

Completely agree.

The only tricky thing with the Colts is projecting the health of Andrew Luck. One would hope that he will be back on the field in the upcoming season. And one would think that ownership and the GM would be upfront about it all with potential HC candidates but after being anything but honest about Lucks situation this season who knows..

Belichick's made a pair of trades with the Colts since then, so I think it's fair to say that the Colts getting rid of the old GM has changed the dynamic.

Patricia going to be with Quinn and a team that has a roster that can probably produce more with the right HC makes a lot of sense.

2. the odell beckham situation
3. they just fired their coach after 2 years. who made the playoffs the 1st year.

So basically, McDaniels has to have instant success and deal with these issues or he is going to be shown the door...
