Do Patriot fans have less loyalty to Tom Brady than Browns fans did to Bernie Kosar

I, like everybody else on this board, thanks Brady is terrific. But you have such a bizarre schoolgirl crush thing going on here it's kind of bizarre.
He's trolling the hell out of us. I'm no longer taking the bait. We may as well just accept that Brady will leave on bad terms, go to the Broncos, and stick it to all of N.England. I'll be buying my shirt in that crazy alternate orange color.

Troll are you kidding me?

First of all Brady is going nowhere. But if somehow BB loses his mind we can be sure Brady will go to the place he has the best chance of winning a championship whether that Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, an NFC team or a division rival.

I'm not calling you a troll, Andy, as you're definitely a quality poster, but this 26 page thread has most certainly reeked of trolling. The weird comparison to Bernie Kosar, the shifting of the goal posts to where no one really knows what the (current) argument is, and quite frankly....most of us here still highly disagree with the premise that there are lots of people calling for Brady's dismissal.

I've seen a small percentage who claim they'd be willing to sacrifice a year of Brady if it means the option of having Garoppolo, long term. That's it. Although I agree with you that Brady gives us the best chance in '17, it's possible that Bill Belichick may not agree for '18 (unlikely), or '19 (much more likely). While I don't necessarily agree, it's understandable that there are some others who value Belichick's opinion on the matter--either way. That doesn't mean anyone is disloyal to TB12.

Oh, and there's no way in hell that Belichick and Brady's solution would be to go to a rival like Denver, Pittsburgh, etc. That could be the craziest statement that you've ever made.

(really out this time )

Ok I know where you stand.
Thanks Tom don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

I am a big root for the laundry guy but the laundry is better off with Brady wearing it and the laundry wouldn't have the deaf it has without him.

I find your opinion ungrateful but you are entitled to it.

Thanks for responding.
I'm being redundant, but the fact is that an older, slower, but mentally competent Brady with all that experience and knowledge will be more than efficient and effective enough to be better than any other quarterback available in the coming five or six years.

If you are interested in winning Super Bowls, you simply keep Brady as long as he wants to be here. No, it doesn't apply to every pro athlete.

But it does to this one.

There will come a time when Brady's skills will erode, to the point he will need to be replaced.

Nobody knows when that day will come; right now it is pure speculation.

If Brady does not recognize it when that day arrives, Belichick will pull him aside and let him know. The end of Tedy Brushi's career would be a good comparable.

In the meantime, based on Brady's performance in the most reason, he is still the better choice for the 2017 season. One can debate on what the best long term plan may be, but I do not see how there is even a question on what is best for this upcoming season.
Maybe in five years I'd take the retirement talk a little more seriously.

When the Canadiens missed the playoffs in '70, did they shove Jean Beliveau out the door? Nah, they kept him around...and won the Cup the next year.

When the Celtics were no longer World Champions did they shove Bird, McHale, or Parish out the door? Nah, they kept them around and suffered decades of misfortune. Just sayin....

Which one of those players had an all-world, one of their best seasons in 1991?

I saw Brady running around at best buddies.. the guy looks like he is 32 years old.

I thought Actual Pats Fan was cherry picking as an example of not trading a veteran. Unless, you think Jean Beliveau was all-world of course. I do not want the Patriots to suffer the same fate as that Celtic team. I am not picking a side, but rather stand behind BB's decision. BTW, no one knows what BB is thinking or what he will decide.

Brady's the guy that the NYFL unjustly decided to label as a cheater, rather than the incredible GOAT that he is.

He's also the guy that Kraft threw under the bus to show his allegiance to "The Band of 32."
Also: in 2007-08, Belichick was the guy that the NYFL unjustly decided to label as a cheater, rather than the incredible GOAT that he is.

He's also the guy that Kraft threw under the bus then, to show his allegiance to "The Band of 32" - and Goodell.

As for anyone who wants to dump Brady any time before he himself decides to retire, they may open up their closet and admire their Tony Eason, Steve Young and Drew Bledsoe jerseys, and settle down and watch some other team from some other city win the Super Bowl.

I do not know enough hockey to speak to the point about Jean Beliveau, but I do know my Celtic history. I think people employ revisionist history with those Celtic teams. There was really no opportunity to get anything whatsoever in return for Bird or Parish. By the time the championship runs were over, Bird had a serious back injury and I just don't see Parish or McHale bringing in anything near enough to have significantly changed Celtic history of the 90's and early 00's.

The tragic, totally unpredictable losses of Bias and Lewis obviously hurt. The downhill slide included Jan Volk calling the shots - not good.

Beliveau: 13x All-Star, 2 Hart trophies, Ross trophy, Smythe trophy, 10 Stanley Cups

With Trader Danny running the show, the Celtics might have won one title in the sixties.

With Red we won nine.

Auerbach understood the value of older, experienced players who might have lost a step over flashy, selfish younger ones.

Cousy, the Joneses, Nelson, Sanders, and a bunch of others either kept or acquired from other teams contributed to the dynasty.

Harrison, Dillon and Moss were all supposedly washed up or head cases before Belichick brought them here.

Wow, carry-on.

For everyone asking where the idiot posters I'm referring to are, I offer exhibit a.
I looked at the member's previous posts. Clearly, a ****. I would be surprised to find any member approaching this extreme.
