You must have missed the Bills game. He was awesome in that game. 25 for 30, 272 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs. Sorry you missed it. It was the highlight of an awful season.
He sucked in every game after that what's your point??

Succeeding at what? Winning regular season games? A few playoff games? Andy Reid is winning. McVay's record is worse than Belichick's the last 2 years. Bruce Arians isn't coaching any more.
*Coughs* BB haven't won a playoffs game in a while fyi.

Hasn't.

AND the goal is to win a Super Bowl.

At least in New England it is.
I am getting you a special hanky when BB leaves. I respect him but will not miss him.

Ok I’m back on hiring a coach from the Shanny tree and a outside Gm.

What are you saying Bill has sucked for 23 years? Or are the defenders just wanting to give him credit for those years he was on top of his game and winning. I know, I know it was all Tom, Bill was just lucky to be the guy holding the clipboard on the sideline. There's nothing wrong with giving him credit for the good work he's done and saying it's time for a new, younger fresh mind to take over.
Let's thank Bill for tanking the last 10 years of the draft. Let's thank Bill for driving TB12 out of Foxboro with his inept player management. Let's thank Bill for BENCHING Malcolm Butler for the entire Superbowl against the Eagles when our secondary was getting TORCHED! Yes I see your point.

The problem is that when you take away TB12, you see the man behind the curtain and the emperor has no clothes. What you're left with is a mediocre head coach who has never had a winning record without Brady both pre-Patriots during the Cleveland era and immediately post-Brady in the current day Patriots era.

To add insult to injury BB the GM is simply TERRIBLE! He should never have the final say in a Patriots draft or personnel decision again. If Kraft even decides to keep BB on as the coach, we need huge changes in the front office so that positive changes to the roster can be made.

Nobody's saying BB has lost his fastball as a defensive mind. His defense only allowed 10 points, 10 points, and 6 points in the past 3 games. The problem is we LOST all those games because he has DESTROYED the team's talent level on Offense with his complete INEPTITUDE as a GM! There's no longer a rational way left to defend BB's decisions and "leadership" of this team. We're 2-10 and that's all on BB. We are what our record says we are!

One step at a time, lets get to the playoffs and win a game there first then we can get our hopes up. The TB years are gone, never gonna happen again in the NFL, we were lucky to be a part of it. If we can get back to being a winning competitive team, that's good for now.

Too dam arrogant when you win you can do that. You shouldn't be able to do that on a losing streak which includes two in season shut outs @ Home embarrassing.

You make some good points but that doesn't make the posters that give him credit for the good IBWT crowd, everyone can see the bad with the good, there was good, now its bad, time for a change.

You know if you want to feel that way fine, me I'm still pissed he let TB walk! And walk without a replacement plan, where's his plan? Genius I don't think so, who's going to clean up this mess?

Bill was sure struggling in 2000 and early 2001 before Tom took over. That roster was stripped down and was a poor fit for Bledsoe. Sound familiar? His play suffered and Bill's defenses weren't good enough to overcome it - kind of like now. Assistant coaches were telling the media they planed on putting their homes up for sale as they were anticipating their jobs were in jeopardy. Belichick also told Herm Edwards before the Jets game something along the lines that things weren't going well in terms of job security.

He hit the lottery with Tom and his job became way easier as the years went on knowing his QB was getting better. You can see the correlation of HC's and how well their QB plays. McCarthy was in GB a long time with Favre/Rodgers, Andy Reid is now regarded as the best in the game because of Mahomes, Harbaugh has new life with Lamar Jackson, Tomlin had Rothlesburger, and the list goes on. When the HC doesn't have good QB play/can't draft, they eventually get canned.

Can't argue with your last paragraph the only thing I disagree with is Bill's job security, they talked (Bill and RK) about a 5 year plan to get to the super bowl, so I think he had more time, of course Tom stepped in and moved the timeline way up and made history over the years.

Plans change when you're 5-13. Bill was brought in with high expectations to get this team back on track quickly, but they were trending downward until Tom took over. The media would've gotten way louder than it is now and force Kraft to can Bill if it continued into 2002.

Reid coached up some average QBs to play very well. It's not all about Mahomes.

This is idiotic.

Anyone who doesn't understand that Tom was a game manager that year and that the defense carried them doesn't know football at all.

Possibly, we'll never know, all we know is the run is OVAH and time to change things up.
