Isaiah Wynn Not at Practice for Bills Playoff Game

Comments:

- I don’t do no sonnets.

- BB runs the show, the buck stops at his desk.

- Wynn being out sucks.

- I think the reason Onwenu isn’t on the field is due to continuity issues. Dante liked continuity too.

- OL play could be better, but Bricillo has done a good job overall. OL play CAN BE FAR WORSE, you know?
It’s possible that onwenu is working at LT in practice in the event Wynn can’t go.
There really isn’t a difference between LT and RT like there used to be.
That concept was born from most teams playing the TE on the right side making the RT more important as a run blocker and most defenses playing their best pass rusher on the left because of the blind side effect. Offenses get the ball out so quickly and run so much shot gun that blind side isn’t really a factor and defenses routinely move players around and will find the matchup. I’m other words onwenu and brown will see pretty much the same guys whether they are on the left or right.
The wildcard is that the footwork is backward when you are on the other side. For many players it’s no big deal, for some it’s huge. One year Cannon had a foot injury and it didn’t bother him when playing on the right side but it messed him up in the left because it was inside foot vs outside foot.

We know Brown can flip but if onwenu doesn’t have the footwork issue, you keep continuity by just playing onwenu on the left if Wynn can’t go.

Stop claiming things are fine when the team just went 1-3 in December....

.
In what post did I claim things are fine?
I am ripping apart YOUR ASSESSMENT of the team, because it’s uninformed, incorrect and lazy.
At no point did I say “everything is fine”.

The team didn’t go 1-3 in December. A fact you could easily find if you cared about facts.

Things are not fine. You keep pretending they are. 1-3 since the Bye Week. Yes not entirely in Dec only. Here it is. Let's all pretend everything is fine.

You keep saying I said everything is fine, and when I ask when I said you say I said everything is fine.
I didn’t. I said you are clueless. The team is 10-7 and in the playoffs and have to face a team they lost to a few weeks ago.
The lost 2 December games then a game last week that was largely meaningless.
They are going to go out and compete Saturday and they have a lot of positives that give them a chance to win

you post uneducated, lazy opinions that you put zero effort into researching, analyzing or really putting any level of thought whatsoever into, and I find that to be counter productive to a Patriots football board so I correct you.

The fact that you pollute the board with terrible posts that I have to correct has nothing to do with the state of the team.

You were *****in about same thing when they were in wining streak

I was thrilled during the 7 game winning streak particularly when the OLine was temporarily fixed and also Barmore played a ton. It's ok if you think very simply. Hard to keep track of everything.

Here you go downplaying it again. Why deny that you are acting like it's fine.

1-3 record in the last 4 games. How about facing reality so it can be fixed.

I did not downplay it all.

But what exactly do you think anonymous fans posting on a message board have to do with fixing it?
Everything posted on these boards is irrelevant to what happens to the team.

The problem is real fans who understand the game enjoy talking about it, and your amateur grudge beating diatribes get in the way.

Please tell me you are so delusional that you post here because you think your posts are going to impact the team and “fix it”. My gawd, you are farther gone than I thought.

I’d have to say that Onwenu is one of our best 5 OL men…along with Wynn Andrews Mason and Brown. It is certainly a mystery as to why he isn’t a starter…has to be a continuity issue of some sort, but like you said…why isn’t he the back up LT.

He's 360 pounds and a mauler. Best at right tackle? How about a prior Superbowl winning LT to play left tackle (Trent Brown)

Maybe because we have and invest in young solid LT, maybe because he didn’t play LT from that SB and before that season was RT, maybe because was last 2 years more on IR then on field, maybe because was on IR for half of current season, maybe because of continuity and stability of OL…

I agree with you man. I also was advocating a line of Brown Onwenu Andrews Mason and X in preseason. I would love to see us run off left tackle in 22 personnel with Jonnu on the LOS and Jakobi in the backfield with Harry outside…how do we not get 5 yards a pop with that?

At the end of the day, I am just some dude on the couch here…Bricillo, McDaniels, Fears, Belichick, and etc… do this for a living. They are there every day and have forgotten more film than most of us will ever watch….

That's a lot of maybe's. Here's what's absolute - Trent Brown has been a superbowl winning LT, and in several other years has been an inconsistent right tackle.

Some here, and those on the mediocre offensive staff, think they know more than Scar who is the expert who put Brown at LT with great success.

Pretty confident to say that I think Scar knows a heck of a lot more than Bricillo or McD in terms of playing Trent Brown at LEFT tackle. Bricillo and McD almost ruined Mac's career with all the hits the first 6 games thinking Durant / Cajuste / Herron could play right tackle..... so no I would not presume this staff knows best.

Karras has played well since he’s started. Onwenu was not playing very well when he was starting.
Long term I like onwenu but I think karras has earned the job this year.

Well, that is just like…your opinion, man….

I presume they know better, maybe nobody is better than Dante…but they ain’t playing favorites or pulling things outta their arse. They are doing what they believe is the best for the team and I got their back.

I was surprised when Karras won the job and thought Onwenu would have earned more reps now….

Again, continuity. The game plan called for onwenu to play 6th OL in heavy packages, which depending upon how the game develops could be half the plays. It’s easier in game to make one change, and I doubt anyone believes there is a big difference between onwenu and Herron in pass blocking so what are you gaining if you have onwenu coming in for running situations anyway?

Onwenu was a nice surprise last year but overly hyped.
This year he struggled. Karras has played well since he has been in there, he really did beat him out.

I hear ya. Scar was one of the best, he rode Trent Brown at LT. Every coach is doing what they think is best for the team. Even when they think Tim Tebow is worth trading up for in the 1st round. Not all coaches are equal in quality of judgement or intelligence. I don't doubt their intent is to try to win...
