Is Hacklessburg still on the roster?

Yeah, I mean I hate them but Namath was a bonifide superstar, and from what I've heard a nice person. I didn't see the game but he kept us out of SBI fair and square. SBIII is legit. And Shula sucks.I never looked at this thread before but in the preview you questioned the Super Bowl III Championship. If you are old enough and were an AFL fan then you would think of that game with higher regard. It's my favorite non Pats game. Just an amazing day.
I don't hate you guys nearly as much as I loathe the Fraiders and Pliants, and I have nothing but sympathy (and, sadly, empathy) for your logo and uniform destruction.Zach and his agents wanted no offsets.
Joe said no.
Zach could have spent all season sitting out. Seems JD wasn't going to budge.
After hearing what the holdup was all about, I'm happy JD put the kid and his agents in their place.
Zach needs to know who's boss. Maybe now he'll realize he's lucky to be playing for the greatest organization in all of sports.

Good attitude.I don't mind it. I mean I'd prefer to just go back to the 60s style and never have a thought about uniforms again, but there are a lot of folks who really care about uniforms and being trendy.
So I try to ignore it as much as possible.
Thanks. Odd transition, but yeah I suppose so.Good attitude.
There are also a lot of folks who really care about flags and burning the American one.

He really wasn't good. He rode the wave for a season or two, and was a huge hit in the press. You can't compare across eras I hear, but I mean, you can compare whether he could put his team on his back and win. You can compare, did he have the work ethic after things went well in what became known as SBIII to get back and win another. You can compare whether he was a partier or a worker. They weren't "the greats" yet. They weren't trying to be. They were just happy to be making a life out of playing a game. Good on 'em, if I were a Joe Willie I'd be the same way. But don't you dare compare them to the real titans of the game who never cease getting better. He was a college kid that kept being good enough that he could pretend he was still in college, and that was in step with his times enough to be on the cover of magazines back when we still read those.Namath was a 20 seconds of fame media creation with a mediocre career and record.
I get that this is a Jet hate thread, and I am fully qualified to post on it.
But I'm not into reality denial or revisionist history. Namath was a star, busted his ass and got the sh*t beat out of him. His social life was highly publicized and he did nothing to discourage that. In the sixties he beat us in two huge, essentially everything on the line games, just like Eli. It is what it is.
I met Joe once in Ft Lauderdale....in a club called Art Stock's Playpen off A1A...he had a blond bimbette on both arms and was wearing a full length chinchilla...in South Florida!. He was drinking champagne and whiskey sours....had to be '72 or '73
Undeniably he was a terrible actor. And who can forget this nonsense:
