Just listened to the Bill Simmons podcast and Peter Schrager said he projected the Jete as being neck and neck with the Lions for the most losses in the league this season, and this was taped before the latest injury news. Let it sink in: the best way to make money on da Jete is to take the bet that they'll edge out the Lions at sucking.

We all know how this goes. Punky is going to always play from behind because da Jete have no one on defense, especially not in the backfield. That'll let the other team tee of on him so he won't have time to throw and won't ever get confidence. They'll have a bad season and draft lots more players but you can't put it all together in one offseason so they'll suck again in Punky's 2nd year. Then the fans will get impatient and someone will have to go and Woody will fire Douglas. Then the new GM will see Saleh with two bad seasons on his resume and let him coach one more season but will fire him at the end of year 3 and bring in his own guy and mix up the roster and try to do a reboot which will never work in just one year. Then in year 4 da Jete will be facing the decision to renew Punky's contract and since he'll have sucked they'll dump him just like they dumped Darnit and the whole cycle will repeat just like it did with all the clowns before them.

I think it's spine, as pretty much everyone in that morbid franchise lacks one. Spleen removal is optional as part of a twofer, although some players have been known to arrive already missing one, the other, or both.
