Except he was released after failing to fill that role.Need a goal like Back, Gillislee can serve that purpose. Sign the beast Bill.

Rather take a look at Darkwa.More of a critter than a beast, but he seems to be a decent scrap heap signing that is familiar with the Pat's offense, no?
Rather take a look at Darkwa.
We know what Gillislee is which is a JAG
I figure he is more like the devil you know ....Unless there is someone buried on a depth chart that we are looking at, I will not be surprised if he is not in town already or on a plane back to Foxboro. No he stinks
No he stinks
I hear ya but I'd rather see Darkwa hereI figure he is more like the devil you know ....Unless there is someone buried on a depth chart that we are looking at, I will not be surprised if he is not in town already or on a plane back to Foxboro.
I hear they did not empty his locker when he was first cut. The Saints needed cover for Ingram and caused a disturbance.
I'd rather see Webb."stinks" is a relative term
Is he a worse option than Webb?
Except he was released after failing to fill that role.
He did not play free his first season, almost as if he was over thinking things and worried about fumbling. I think he was too worried about losing his place in the team that his fears actually became a realization. Now that he has been cut here, what is there to worry now.I'd rather see Webb.

Sony has yet to master the LOS so we don't have a clear short yardage back. Gillislee has the size but not the vision. The timing of releasing CJ is certainly suspicious, and I guess Gilly is the favorite, but he contributes nothing to STs so is almost a wasted spot on game day. Not a sure thing IMO.I don't the role was the same. Now, we have a healthy stud 1st and 2nd round back, and a healthy stud 3rd down back. We only need an emergency backup who can fill in during garbage time.
Besides, maybe he's learned something.
I would take 2001 Smith in a heartbeatI like Mike !
Kind of a dull back like Antowain Smith, but he can help the Pats.
CJ is PS eligible. Good point about Webb--more versatile than Gillislee. But smaller.I would like to see Webb brought up, dude has talent and can play in the passing game. Is Cyrus eligible for the PS?
Only two running backs on the roster
So, just two running backs on the roster. I've never seen this before.
Both White and Michel are starters, and they don't even exactly play the same position really. They aren't each other's back ups in a practical sense.
Big danger if somebody goes down.
And then how long are we going to play them to death without any relief?
Is there guys available to at least take over running 3 yards per play during the fourth quarter after the game is safely in hand?
I'm really interested to see what Bill is thinking/planning on.
Anybody got this figured out already?
