hahaha

of course he gets off scott free... and not a peep from the media on the subject this entire time its been going on

I guess defrauding people isn't as big a deal or news worthy as PSI changing due to weather

I look forward to the NFL thoroughly investigating this as part of their personal conduct policy. The league would never tolerate a NY quarterback defrauding fans.

I also look forward to the sun rising in the west and setting in the east.

PFT followed this story over the last couple years while the case worked it’s way through court. It never got the “big story” treatment from SI/MMQB or ESPN. You never saw Bob Ley scolding Eli on Outside The Lines or Schefter stationed outside the courthouse.

While we can say the media didn’t pay a lot of attention to this story, it was still much more than the NFL did. Goodell and company never commented on it at all.

Its just a multi-millionaire stealing money and defrauding hard working Americans. Not sure why that would bother any hard working Americans when there are so many more things taking money out of their pockets like whiffs of air in a fuking football.

This country is so full of fuking delusional, hypocritical, bitter, stupid sheep that there is no way society is going to make it.

The Feds were ready to put that sports collectible dealer in jail till he was able to show the problem was with the Giants and Eli. This is a big deal as this guy could have done time for their fraud

While I have no love lost for Eli Manning, I'm very apprehensive about this very erroneous notion that has been being pushed in recent years that a settlement is the same as guilt. Most cases settle in some form or fashion. It's far less risky than court.

Are you sure about that? I don't think TB had a choice. He took it to court because he was innocent. If he had settled, then it would've given everyone the ammo to state that he was definitely guilty. It's rigged for the Manning's and any another team with a QB not named Brady, especially from NY.

Of course, the media has been pretty quiet about this one. I really can't stand Eli either, that mouth-breathing ******. Not sure who I despise worse: him or his HGH taking, trainer assaulting brother.

Nah, we just have a massive "persecution complex"
It’s not necessarily untrue though. If Brady had done this, it would be all over the media. That said, the Mannings are media darlings. They talk freely to them, joke with them, give them material, etc. The Patriots won’t get that same benefit because they **** on the media at every turn so the media will take any and all opportunities to go after them.

Brady was arguing for his reputation and he’s the one who brought it to court. There was literally no way to get the objective he wanted by settling. He already lost and was trying to reverse a decision. Eli was being charged and he was liable to lose a lot more without a favorable verdict.

Lots of people settle even if they think they are right.

really? because i seem to remember a huge outrage over tom brady doing some work for charity, and as payment for that work, he asked that some of the money be given to a SECOND charity. and people freaked the **** out.

Brady kissed his son on the lips- Global outrage and comments that hes a sex offender.

Eli Commits felony fraud, and I have not heard a peep about it.

C'mon man, obviously that was the entire point of my post... a Patriot farts and the entire world sticks up their nose to take a whiff...

My post was in reference to the countless claims during DFG and the ensuing months/years that Patriots fans have a persecution complex. This story is yet another example that our perceived "persecution complex" is more than justified.

Yeah, I guess he "gets off scot (!) free" from a legal perspective, but he still had to pony up some cash, including for damages.
