You're the one who's confused. The Browns started playing in the NFL in 1946, took three years off from 1996-1998 and started back up in 1999. They have 67 years on the books in the NFL, 11 more than our Patriots.

You missed the part where the Browns turned into the Ravens in 1996 but when the new Browns joined the NFL in 1999, got all the history and records of the old Browns. So looking up stats was pretty much the worst way to prove that point.
