I think it depends on your time frame and how you are looking at successful.I agree if that’s your definition. What teams would you consider historically successful? I assume patriots and steelers would be on your list...
Miami was very successful for their first 25 it so years and terrible since.
Pittsburgh was a laughing stock prior to the 70s, but have stayed relevant since. Sf had one good run. Dallas may have the most success over the longest period of time but are on a long drought.
The patriots had about the worst history of success in the league before B.B.
I guess my point is the laundry isn’t historic, and success seems to rely on hc and gm, the good ones suceed most anywhere and the bad ones don’t.
So outside of a woody or Snyder or brown or haslam ownership seems overrated.
