I agree if that’s your definition. What teams would you consider historically successful? I assume patriots and steelers would be on your list...
I think it depends on your time frame and how you are looking at successful.
Miami was very successful for their first 25 it so years and terrible since.
Pittsburgh was a laughing stock prior to the 70s, but have stayed relevant since. Sf had one good run. Dallas may have the most success over the longest period of time but are on a long drought.
The patriots had about the worst history of success in the league before B.B.

I guess my point is the laundry isn’t historic, and success seems to rely on hc and gm, the good ones suceed most anywhere and the bad ones don’t.

So outside of a woody or Snyder or brown or haslam ownership seems overrated.

Ironic. If McDaniels were to be the Niners HC, he would have gotten Jimmy as QB....
I could only imagine the howling around the league if BB handed JG off to a 49ers team led by JMcD.

Prediction:
Patricia --> Lions
McDaniels ---> Giants or Stay-Put
I don't see the Giants happening. Any sensible coach would walk in and dump Apple and perhaps OBJ and then Eli too. The NY press would be taking shots left and right. He'd get at best two seasons to produce, and then would be out the door. Then his resume would have DEN and NYG failures and no successes w/o BB.

DET seems nice and comfortable. Stafford and the rest of the team have some talent, he's got a good budget to work with, good owners, ex-Pat GM etc. Maybe a lost season deciding if Cooter is salvageable as OC.

CHI spent too much for Trubisky, not much talent on the roster, Pace just got extended.

Dark horse is TEN. Ex-Pat GM and Mariota as a potential star with supportive owners. Time to cut the Malarkey, IMHO. Probably the best chance to clean house and do it your own way.

But yeah, there's only 32 jobs and I think JMcD is getting a bit hungry after passing on SF.

If he only gets one offer he should take it. If he gets multiple offers I’d rank them
1) Indy (assuming luck doesn’t Gabe gangrene in his arm)
2) Detroit
3) Tennessee
4) giants (providing they agree to draft a qb in round 1 and release Eli.... He doesnt need to preside over the plug pulling)
5) Arizona because I don’t see much to work with there

I would happily drive Josh to the airport. And then throw a party afterwards.

Are you trolling on this?
Name a better OC in the NFL?
I guess the question is how much is Josh and how much is the Greatness of Brady?

Sadly I think he actually believes it

Is that a serious question? Wow.

The 'Ignore Member' function is one of the best things about this board.

Just sayin'...

Hopefully BB&Krafts have him covered . although this league is not about future..
Would be a huge loss..

Coming from the poster who says Richard Seymour "dogged it" during playoff games.

Bitter troll.

McDaniels to interview with the Colts on Thursday

That makes me a sad panda.

On the one hand, I don't want McDaniels to go.

On the other hand, I'm fascinated by the question of whether or not McDaniels can change Luck's game enough (and get him enough OL protection and skill position weaponry) to get him to become the player we (mostly) all thought he could become.

They shouldn't allow other teams to interview coaches that in the playoffs until after the super bowl. The last time someone interviewed McD he called a **** game in SB42

If McDaniels throws away his last chance at coaching for Jim Irsay and their broken QB with no offensive line then I do not feel bad for him at all when he's fired in 2-3 years.

League source says Josh McDaniels will interview with the Bears and Giants on Friday for their head coaching jobs. He's in high demand

Bye Josh his younger brother is a assistant on the Bears.
Ben McDaniels.
Daboll O'Shea Weis next man up let's hope BB doesn't get dementia.
